my ability to take this 🫢 emoji seriously has been obliterated by that one image
getting this image beamed into my head psionically whenever i see it used in any context
your speech pattern is so interesting to me. you have a way with words. where did you develop such way with words (<--- said in a kind, jolly way!!!!!!!! i think its very cool)
my dad imbued his swag into me. it was a father-son weirdness transfer. I think it’s genetic
beware of the kaw who speaks in uelueuelele
(grabs you by the shoulders) you have to make room for new experiences in your life. you have to go through the unpleasant work of leaving your comfort zone, even if just for a few minutes at a time. because if you don't, your brain will trick you into stagnation. you will start to believe that the world can barely fit you in it. but that's not true. it's the opposite way around. you can fit the whole word inside of you. your task is only this: to welcome it with open arms
Love the tags!
ah lads not the stagnation i've been tricked again

Really Big Coin Skrekkøgle
This is our Really Big Coin. It is big because it makes other things look small when photographed next to it. Actually, it is a 20:1 replica of the EUR 50-cent, you see it being milled out here. We needed to do quite a bit of sanding, lacquering and smudging to obtain the desired look and some climbing to get into required shooting position (you need to get up real high to take good pictures). The result is a short series of photographs, attempting to visually scale down real-sized objects.

- it’s fun to be awake & in an upright position
- consciousness is a gift
- i CAN do this anymore
Wizard: Oh, I like your Goblin detecting sword! That's funny.
Goblin who thought they just had a cool glowing sword: ... My what now?
These comments are breaking me
my friends and I have created a game we call Quipposting, where you play quiplash but you roll a wheel full of character archetypes, and whatever it lands on, you all answer as if you are like, a wizard or cowboy. This legitimately makes quiplash go from a fun enough game to an S+ tier absolute unabashed banger
the best characters are Mafia Goon, Cyberpunk Hacker, Castle Guard, Sewer Rat, 16th Century Peasant, and Alien Poorly Pretending to be Human
OP we desperately need examples
these are all from mafia goonposting but I think it’s my absolute favorite one of all time so I have a lot of pictures from it. Turn on some jazz and wait until people start talking in the accent and you’ll make Magic

Go my phage
adulthood notes:
The Rodeo Rule: you only have to do it for the first time once.
The Rohan Rule: if you are at a social function full of new people and you want to be liked, find someone doing important work like setup or food prep and offer to help.
The Tutorial Mode Rule: to navigate an unfamiliar situation where you fear you will mess up an interaction, preface the interaction by mentioning that you've never done this before, and let them know if you have a specific concern or question.
The Rocket Science Rule: most new things you want to try seem very complicated but are simple when taken step by step.
The [X] Will Remember That Rule: if you need to make small talk with the same person on a regular basis, try to save one fact or current event in their life from a given conversation and bring it up next time you talk.
The Cool Binder Rule: by wearing clothes and accessories that are to your taste instead of trying to blend in, people will be more likely to compliment you and show interest in you as a person.
Study
The worst types of cookbook:
The Ottolenghi - it is vital that you use 1g of this very expensive ingredient. It comes from a 500g bag with a one-week shelf life.
The time machine - 15-minute recipe! First, leave to marinate overnight...
The dishwasher - one-pot recipe! Now decant your ingredients and wipe out your pot. And again. And again. And again.
The optimist - cook the onions until caramelised (2 minutes).
The kindergarten teacher - get one nommable little tree of broccoli and bosh that into boiling water. Delish!
The brand names only - ingredients: Ritz crackers, Philadelphia cheese, Cool Whip, orange Jell-o...
The 1950s palate - use one (1) clove of garlic and a small pinch of chili flakes (omit if preferred).
The why bother with a cookbook - to make beans on toast, gently heat a tin of beans and put on top of freshly buttered toast.
#the overachiever: make this very time consuming ingredient from scratch even though it'll end up tasting worse than store bought
Amen to this @akasanata. "Now make your puff pastry from scratch". How about no❤️
final year syndrome has hit. in a moment of weakness my clinical partners and I decided that clinic wasn't worth going to and now all of placement feels optional if it isn't directly giving me skills/knowledge for F1
my anxiety is high and my clinical partners arent going in this morning either. its too damn hot and the learning i might get if im even acknowledged probably not worth it.
honestly if im actually taking my thought process to logical conclusion, i should just see about going spend next week back in SDEC and then for the rest of this block just do theatres. i have shadowed too many damn ward rounds
I really dont know how in earlier years i was reasonably content with just showing up, following a ward round around for hours, getting hypo and dehydrated, maybe having some small group teaching and then going home
im better now actually getting involved. the stuff you could get involved with in earlier years just felt so contrived but i wish id done it more and understood the purpose of it better

i should switch my #talking to #complaints/complaining because that is what i use it for at the end of the day
