This is the moment when Sasuke realizes that severing his bond with Naruto isn’t enough. He has just been attacked by Sakura and Kakashi, who believed they had to bear the responsibility of stopping him. But then Naruto arrives with no intention of killing him, knowing the truth about Itachi and Konoha, and declaring that he will carry the weight of Sasuke’s hatred alongside him. It’s a burden Sasuke has decided to carry alone, one he believes he must bear by himself, but now there’s someone who wants to share it with him.

I applaud the effort that went into this seconds-long bit.
