Okay okay, here me out. So according to folklore and myth vampires really like to count; it's an obsession, and the vsmp members did show this a bit in the series. So what would be the perfect hobby for a bored 2006 vampire? Crochet (or knitting). I think that Shelby, in-between writing her books just obsessively crochets because you need to do an unnecessary amount of counting in crochet. No, like actually, it's insane. But imagine that when people come back to their houses (especially Drift) they just find some cute little animal or hat or something; that seems like such a Shelby thing to do. And Drift collects all the little gifts and cherishes them, and Scott pretends he's annoyed with all the little yarn lying around but it actually makes him really happy.
