She was obviously frighten of the being in front of her.she quickly pulled out her hand.

“H-hello there, I-I’m F-Foe. I k-know it’s random and dangerous to say your name to a compelety stranger and most of all talk to them. Umm sorry i started rambling didn’t I” she looked away shyly.

“Oh..!” He was actually surprised at the politeness and seemingly anxious behavior of the stranger in front of him. 

    He pulled at his hood but quickly took his hand away, not wanting the other to get the idea he was hiding his appearance for anything more than being shy and anxious. 

“Oh, no, y-.. you’re fine.. I.. Live around here.. And it’s pretty deep in the woods.. When I meet people a lot of the time they’re lost.. So, I try to help. Do you live around here..?”

    He questioned cautiously, really just not wanting to frighten her.

“I can point you in.. Overall direction.. Or walk you if you’d prefer..? Assuming you.. Know where you are..” He let out a faint chuckle, trying to ease the tension. He JUST now realized that she was probably so nervous because he came out of nowhere.

“ Hello there..? ” 

    The eyeless creature, face completely hidden might’ve startled the other, concerned for the well being but seemingly coming out from nowhere. Even if his voice was soft and quiet - almost inaudible - sneaking up on people was always an unintentional habit of his.

    The hallucination - voices thundering through his mind had been causing him to shake and cry softly to the point where he became detached from reality. He couldn’t hear what was around him, and thus couldn’t really ‘see’. This is why the touch of a familiar friend was so startling. But, strangely enough when he realized what was happening the voices began to quiet and he was able to perceive everything around him again. He breathed in Jeff’s familiar scent, and let out a shaky breath.

“H-hey.. Thanks ?” He wasn’t feeling sure of anything at the moment and was still shaky.

         Jeff nodded a bit in response when the other gave their          reason for asking their question. He was silent for a mom-          ent or two then, looking around before his eyes finally            found their way back to the stranger.

                    “Do you spend a lot of time out here then? Know of                     any interesting places to fuck around in?” He asked                     with genuine curiosity, his hands slipping from his                     pocket only to motion to the surrounding woods.

          There was another brief pause as he watched the other           fiddle beneath their hood. “N’ how come you like being out           away from people so much?” Everyone had their reasons,           though they were seldom related to Jeff’s in any way. But           he couldn’t help but be curious.

“Well.. Why does anyone..?” 

    Jack had to put some thought into the other’s first question, so when he asked the second the creature figured he would answer that one first.

“Honest though... Social anxieeety.. I.. Don’t fit in much.. Anymore..” His answer was probably much more vague than he would’ve wanted it to be, so he decided to not leave his new acquaintance anymore time to question what he meant. He remembered a couple of places that had a nice peaceful tranquility to them. There was also an area with really cool trees that he climbed up some times.

“There’s a nice creak just to the left of here and I know another place with sturdy trees. We could climb and totally break our legs if you’d like.” How comedic. Or at least he tried to be.

“The creak is very nice. I write there some times.” He hoped to god he didn’t just come off as total dweeb.

M tried her best to distance the conversation from her whereabouts and sidetrack it into the kittens. She can’t help but snicker as Jack states that he can’t give a description of the kittens.

Hesitantly, M picks up Danielle, awkwardly holding the cat. “Can we go see them?” She asks, the excitement clearly shown in her voice. Part of her was curious as to where they were being kept. “Oooo should we bring Nimbus?” She continues asking as if he already answered her first question. The girl gave a small pout upon realizing that she might be making Danielle uncomfortable, so she sets the feline back to the ground.

After a moment, M was submerged into her thoughts. She really had missed Jackie, and now she was talking to him as if she had never left, and everything was normal. Yes, she did feel some tension in the air, but slowly it was fading.

    Jack’s worry had soon enough been replaced also with excitement and utter happiness to realize just how eager M was to hear and see the kittens. It’s as though he had already completely forget, however the thought was still in the back of his mind along with the concern and questions. Of course, being the nervous person he was while also having large amounts of knowledge on animals in general, he was a little worried with the kitten conversations they were having because the kittens were so young at the moment.

“We can, but we can’t touch them all that much. Mother cats are usually really protective and don’t like humans --- or other animals near their litter while the kittens are at an early age.” He had began, practically pouring out words like he was some cat information book found at an elementary school library. 

“Uh - ...Alright, but, if Danielle gets tense we might need to keep him away from them too. I’m sure she’d love to see him again though.. !” Jack smiled, listening carefully as Danielle let out a meow and plopped to the ground onto all feet, continuing to rub against M’s legs after being let down. It had made the mother cat uncomfortable but god damnit she needed to be affectionate!!!!
