Looshan #loveapples Fruit vendor outside massy supermarket: "AA koko, you having baby koko?" Me smiling: yes I am mami Fruit vendor: "koko you look good koko. Let me give that baby some love koko" Me (confused af): "Ammm okay" Fruit vendor packs a bag of love apples from her tray and gives it to me. I proceed to reach for my purse. Fruit vendor: "no no koko. Love apples for baby. Makes baby and mommy strong." Me: thank you mami She rubs my belly and pats me on my back. After the hell of a day I had yesterday, it ended beautifully with that old lady. I smiled all the way home and woke up with a smile. This little gem in me is already impacting the universe. Always look for the hidden beauties within the day. :)

Embrace the rush of ant-like bodies aimlessly working to live a life that offers free breath. Cause in the night. When it is still and dark. When silence is friends with the stillness. When even dogs are at sleep. You are left at the mercy of your own thoughts. The torture of your memories and the uncertainty of the future. Sleep is then an emeny. It has no home here. And your alliances with prayer, patience and pills brokers no peace with it. It still withholds the magic that is sleep until the moon exchanges it's place with the sun and you prepare the mask for the day ahead. Hoping that the night never comes. Ayoka.
