My little brother turned one this year and I really wanted his first birthday to be special. I didn't want the usual banquet hall party. I wanted something peaceful where our family could actually enjoy the day together. That's how we ended up celebrating at Seaera The Retreat.

As the elder sister, I was worried about everything-the decorations, food, setup and making sure everyone had a good time. But honestly, the team at Seaera took care of it all. The decorations looked beautiful, the food was amazing and everything was so well organised that I could actually enjoy the celebration instead of running around.

This colorful popcorn decoration is perfect for adding a festive touch to your baby's high chair for their first birthday celebration. The sweet and crunchy popcorn is coated in vibrant colored powdered sugar and adorned with fun sprinkles or edible glitter.

Ingredients: 1 bag of plain popcorn kernels. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1/4 cup powdered sugar. Food coloring optional. Assorted sprinkles or edible glitter.

Instructions: In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. When all of the popcorn kernels have popped, add more to the pot, cover it with a lid, and shake it periodically. Popped popcorn should be taken out of the pot and spread out onto a sizable parchment paper-lined baking sheet. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to powdered sugar in a small bowl to get the desired color. Sprinkle the popcorn with the colored powdered sugar, then gently toss to coat evenly. When the powdered sugar is still tacky, sprinkle edible glitter or a variety of sprinkles over the popcorn. Before arranging the popcorn as dcor on the high chair, let it cool and the powdered sugar to solidify.
