I found a new, unopened Alter Shizuo Heiwajima figure on eBay. 🥰😍

And, of course, opened it immediately. 😊

He's so frickin beautiful OMG. The craftsmanship is impeccable. He's just perfect. I love him so much.

I had to put the cigarettes away when I placed him with my other figures on my overcrowded side table. It won't affect his superhuman physiology, but I don't want him giving secondhand smoke to my season 1 season 3 Matt Murdock, little Kyo Sohma nenderoid, Roy Mustang and all the other Daredevil, Matt, Ms Marvel and Captain Marvel funkos. 🤣

I know that the Predator doesn't care.

Tom’s words kept playing in his mind. That Vorona must’ve liked him to have kept this up for all this time. But Shizuo had already known that because she’d called him senpai two years ago. He’d had so few people in his life who weren’t outright terrified of him that he’d eagerly accepted her friendship.

But it had grown into something more, hadn’t it? He knew he didn’t deserve it, but he was also selfish and afraid to let go of people who showed him any level of acceptance. And what Vorona had given him was precious, meaningful.

He felt restless that night as he lay in bed, tossing and turning for hours. He wished she were here so he could talk to her.

Shizuo/Vorona are the best.

This is the continuation of my last post in this series.

Izaya, the culprit, has just dropped a whole freaking excavator/forklift on Shizuo and Vorona. The intention behind this act cannot be anything other than to seriously injure, if not kill, Shizuo and for sure kill Vorona.

Now I can see some Shizaya fans wanting Vorona out of the way, so her dying might be seen as a good thing by them. Not ideal for us Shizuo/Vorona fans but that's fandom for ya.

But I don't understand how anyone who claims to like Shizuo would want him badly injured or killed. Like... make it make sense! One half of this supposed pairing just tried to kill the other half dead. How does this even work? Makes me doubt if anyone that supports Shizaya as a pairing actually even truly likes (let alone respect) Shizuo as a character. They gotta be just Izaya fans who think of Shizuo as nothing more than a trophy for their favorite character. Even if Izaya hates Shizuo vehemently, Shizuo is a gift for him to torment and gaslight. Because I truly believe Izaya hates Shizuo and harbors zero positive thoughts towards him.

Anyways... on to the scene. Shizuo knew Izaya was the one to drop the excavator and rightly assumed Izaya was also behind the construction debris falling earlier - which injured Vorona, when she pushed him out of harm's way.

Of course, this is the moment in the LN when Vorona realizes that Shizuo is truly like a superhero. He glances the whole excavator off with just his right shoulder. Now, despite his super strength, he isn't left completely unharmed. He dislocates his shoulder in this. But he still manages to push the excavator out of the way and saves both himself and Vorona from getting killed.

Vorona is in shock at this spectacle. But a strange calm has descended on Shizuo. His anger has turned into a cold, calculated rage. He now knows he has to kill Izaya and be done with him.

He apologizes to Vorona. She just saved his life, but he's about to go ruin his life. He tells her she can stab him or shoot him the next time she sees him. But he gotta finish this job.

He walks into the stairwell and away from Vorona.

Vorona knows what he's about to do and she tries one last time to stop him. She calls out, "Shizuo! Come back!"

The look on her face is desperate. But he doesn't hear her.

This is the continuation of my last post from this series about their scene from episode 7 of the final arc. I know it's been a while since I've posted one of these. What can I say... my forays into the newfound world of vidding as well as diving back into writing more of my Shizuo/Vorona fic has kinda taken over my free hours after work. 😆

So anyways... this was right after Vorona had pushed Shizuo out of the way of the falling debris, and had gotten hurt herself. Shizuo is clearly worried when he sees her collapsed under the fallen beams...

...and then is visibly relieved to see her open her eyes. Of course, he then properly scolds Vorona for putting herself in danger for "a guy like him." 🥺 Don't you know, Shizuo, you're absolutely worth trying to save!

But the danger isn't over. In fact, things are only just beginning. Vorona sees more movement on the roof and calls out a warning to Shizuo, and this is when he notices that Izaya is the culprit.

And this is when Izaya drops the whole excavator/forklift from the top of the roof on Shizuo and Vorona...

The move is clearly intended to kill them both. Or at least kill Vorona and injure Shizuo at the very least.

But this is Shizuo Heiwajima we're talking about! He's going to take on that forklift head on, isn't he?

Apparently, I wasn't done continuing this tale. This is a self-contained chapter, told from Vorona's POV from when she returned to Russia at the end of the anime, and is set two years before the end of my original fic.

The events in this story run concurrent, at the same time in Russia, to the events unfolding around Shizuo in Ikebukuro in the first chapter of my original fic.

It's over 12 minutes long, but then it's a whole character analysis of why Shizuo Heiwajima and Izaya Orihara ended how they began: as mortal enemies.

So I spent the whole day playing around with this in Microsoft Clipchamp.

EDITED: I went next day (Apr 28/Sunday) and redid the whole vid with captions. Used meta/captions to tell my story.

The falling debris meant for Shizuo comes down on Vorona because she'd pushed Shizuo out of harm's way.

She's now lying under a metal beam, not moving.

Shaken, Shizuo calls out to her, but she doesn't respond. So he reaches out to carefully remove the beam and places his hand on her shoulder.

"Vorona, hey, wake up!" He calls out again as he gingerly tries to shake her awake.

She slowly opens her eyes and looks at him. She tells him she's awake and then apologizes for not being able to step out of the way of the falling debris.

She had not meant for him to worry for her sake.

He's relieved that she's all right. But he scolds her for putting herself in danger for a guy like him.

These two idiots are seriously so cute. Both of them struggle with low self-esteem. And yet, both feel the other is better or more worthy of being protected than they themselves are.

Despite the fact that Vorona had just come clean to Shizuo for the very first time only moments ago. He still cares for her well-being.

And despite the fact that Vorona had thought she'd wanted to conquer Shizuo because he was the strongest man she'd ever met. And yet had nearly sacrificed herself to save his life when she knew him to be seemingly undefeatable.

Vorona then notices activity still happening on the roof above them.

She shouts out a warning to Shizuo, and that's when he looks up and realizes it is Izaya.

The bane of his existence. 🤬
