Basically the gist was that most self-inserts are boring but could be good if well written.

NEWSFLASH: Many self-shippers/self-inserters aren’t creating our s/i’s FOR YOU or for the entertainment of the general public! We do this for US, OR with the understanding that our audience are other people in the self-ship/self-insert community.

If you barge onto someones self-ship/self-insert blog and find the content “boring”, that’s on YOU, and it’s very assholey to start slinging unsolicited criticism.

Self-inserters and self-shippers don’t need your approval. We’re not trying to win awards or become famous. Many of us are trying to cope, heal, practice self-love, or just have fun. Who do you think you even are that everything you see needs to be well written for YOUR enjoyment??

   It’s not for other people, yeah. At basics, self-inserts are for US and for FUN! That’s it! It’s not always that deep and- even if it is- why would it be some rando’s problem?? Leave if you don’t like it!!!

   If you do end up liking it or having fun seeing what we do/write up… That’s awesome! Feel free to tell us! It’s nice to know someone enjoys the ways we elaborate on characters or build up a world… Maybe even how we write our SI. But when you enter the territory of “I don’t like this”, here’s a tip: use the back button. Delete your history if you want.

   We. Don’t. Care about your opinion of our self-inserts/self-ships. At the end of the day, they’re for OUR comfort. For us to have fun, de-stress, and get creative. As creative as we want.

I am Mod Glitch of this blog and I aim to spread some love towards my other asexual self shippers and to anyone else who finds these imagines charming! I also will try to do platonic imagines for my aro peeps out there with plationic f/os ♥ I noticed that it is sort of hard to find blogs that cater to asexual people with f/os and now I want to be the one who changes that! (If there are other blogs like this out there, please let me know! I’d love to check them out~)

I also would like to do MORE than just imagines in the future (fanfics, moodboards, headcanons, etc), but for now I would like to stick with them.
