Finally finished a proper painting I hope I can do more of these, this was fun and I really like his design and have so many thoughts about him so maybe Ill draw him more often heh

Kalvin was studying marine biology but for pokemon(TM) and was planning to become a professor (hence the name Dubois meaning oak tree in french) but they caught an eye illness that made them lose their sight significantly. He can still see but it is extremely blurry and can't tell depth much.

Their first pokemon was Absol, the family 'dog' who's been there from the start and became more attached to him after they became blind. She trained under a service pokemon school and passed with flying colors. She's a lil silly sometimes though.

Meowstic is the 'offcial' service pokemon, given to Kalvin after a checkup when their eyesight was determined unsalvageable. He and Kalvin bonded over liking loud music.

Finally, Piplup, their newest addition, who was found on the street by the shore... yup thats it, he just found it and the Piplup wants to throw hands so they now battle against trainers from time to time. Not like he has anything else to do right now... Kalvin is kind of in the middle of a crisis reassessing their life path and what they're going to do now, and Piplup might just be what they needed.
