People keep saying they want Morgan and Karadec to get together already, and they are missing the point. They need at least 2 ndes, one relationship failing because of the other, a divorce era. Someone here needs to be buried alive or driven of a bridge and Karadec needs to have a going of the books for Morgan's kids plot. Someone definitely needs to get shot. We haven't had a cop slow burn like this a while, let them hit the tropes before getting a dramatic getting together after one of them tries to quit in 3 to 4 seasons.

Agreed. It's like they've forgotten how to write it. I think the tragedy this week was meant to be the stone baby, but where was the setup for this? We get one scene of her looking after a girl that fell over. Is that supposed to tell us she's maternal? People are (or should be) nice to kids. It doesn't even tell us she doesn't have children: I initially assumed she had the incontinence issues that come to many women that have had children and no help with their pelvic floor.

It's like back pain -> lump -> mooning about scared in hospitals for a bit -> surgery -> surgery reveals calcified ectopic pregnancy -> "I always wanted kids"

The stakes are introduced after the climax? What is that?

I think it's because they have been spending too much time on the Turner Family Show.

Exactly! It’s like they’ve lost sight of their core purpose. I love the Turner family as much as the next person, but the whole Christopher storyline has been dragged out too long and ultimately seems to have gone nowhere. I get that it’s meant as a second chance for the Turner’s to do the right thing (in terms of what we as modern viewers now know about adoption) but where is the depth and reflection?

I was right there with you by the way: I assumed the woman had actually had many kids and that there was some kind of issue with her uterus now. Also, she was so ashamed of her issues that she didn’t see a doctor for months, and suddenly Dr Turner comes and she’s only a little shy to tell him.

Ah well… maybe it’s just time for the show to wrap up. It’s had a good run!
