if your animal is lying on the floor, furniture etc, it’s important to take a picture of them. then, if they move or shift in any way, it’s important to take another picture. with this technique, you can take many pictures of your animal
Happy birthday, Jose Carlos Mariategui! (June 14, 1894)
A highly-influential Peruvian intellectual and philosopher, Jose Carlos Mariategui was born in Moquegua and grew up in various locations as his single mother moved around to try and support the family. Well-read, Mariategui became influenced by Peruvian anarchist Manuel González Prada and turned towards radical politics, becoming a left-wing journalist and launching the socialist newspaper La Razón. Mariategui's journalism stirred up the ire of the ruling classes, and he discreetly exiled himself to Europe. There, he would form links with the European left and observe the rise of fascist politics. Though he was suppportive of Bolshevik socialism, he did not take sides in the split between Stalin and Trotsky, which caused annoyance towards him. He returned to Peru in 1923, and was soon subject to house arrest by the still firmly right-wing government and military. Mariategui helped to establish the Socialist Party of Peru, which would later evolve into the Peruvian Communist Party, and in 1928 published Seven Interpretative Essays on Peruvian Reality, his most influential work. Mariategui argued that the establishment of socialism in Peru should reflect its indigenous history, in particular the collectivist nature of indigenous societies such as the Inca. Mariategui's ideas have influenced reformists and revolutionaries throughout South America, from Evo Morales to Néstor Cerpa Cartolini, Abimael Guzmán to Pedro Castillo.
"A proletariat without more of an ideal of than the reduction of work hours and a salary raise of a few cents will never be capable of grand historic enterprise."
