Ngl I can't blame the general audience for not caring much for Vanessa most of the time because the show does nothing with her, she just appears in random scenes with two awkward lines and then disappears again 😭 but I'm not sure how anyone could be actively complaining about her current involvement lol she's reacted exactly how she should have.

Honestly the whole thing is bizarre - I disagree with people criticising Mack for how he's dealing with everything and "making it about himself" because well.. the part where Charity cheated on him and had a secret baby with his friend is in fact about him?? But I don't like the narrative making it about him, or Vanessa having to step in and vouch for how amaaazing he is every time they have an argument for some unknown reason.

Honestly send her over to the Corrie police force because she put two and two together at the speed of light 😭 I do love that other people will dismiss Charity's odd behaviour as her just being Charity, but Vanessa is more tuned in to realising something is genuinely wrong.

With Noah leaving soon I know a lot of people are now assuming it'll be him who kills her (and he was high on my list before), but I really hope not - I wouldn't have minded when I thought he could just get off on self defence, but now he's leaving.. if he goes to prison (which I doubt if he's leaving in summer as that's too soon) or goes on the run, Charity would never forgive herself. The last thing she needs on top of everything else is to think she's to blame for ruining Noah's life lol

IA she absolutely would if she was put in that position and had to do it. Plus Louise Jamieson said in an interview a couple weeks back that she might have to be a shoulder to cry on for Vanessa after "what's in store for her and Dr Todd" because it's going to get really dark. I doubt Todd is going to come back to the village and try and date Vanessa again given the situation she's in lol, so what else is going to go down between them.

I don't like a soap killing off another abuser instead of them getting actual justice, but if they have to do it, Todd attacking Charity and someone (Vanessa ty) whacking her over the head to stop her feels like the only somewhat reasonable way to play it, because at least it's done because they have to do it and not someone playing vigilante. I thought the scenes between Charity and Serena today were interesting with Charity talking about how it hurts more that it's a woman because she knew to distrust men but she didn't think a woman would do this, and Serena saying hey you can still trust us girls.... so clearly if someone saves Charity from Todd it should be a woman (bonus points for it also being a lesbian)
