I doubt he's super in touch which his emotions, poor guy probably didn't even realize at first.
He feels this overwhelming need to protect everybody around him, so it wasn't anything new when he felt that again after meeting you.
But then he started to feel it on a deeper level. He started noticing things, like how his heart beat faster around you, how his face felt warm, how Nezuko looked at him when he was talking to you, like she knew something neither of you knew.
It took a huge identity crisis and a lot of stress for him to come to the conclusion that he was in love.
But once he did realize, he locked in.
He got you flowers, did extra favors for you, smiled at you way more, defended you.
Eventually you started to figure it out, even if it was a bit difficult to discern how he treats you versus how he treats everybody else...
When he confessed, he lead you to a quiet place, somewhere nobody would interrupt.
After getting together, PDA isn't super common but not rare either. A hug or a kiss every once in a while is perfect for the two of you.
He doesn't brag, but he definitely isn't quiet about your relationship
He mostly uses -San as a means of respect, but will happily use -Chan if that's your preference
He always talks about you and how amazing you are
"(Name)-San/Chan is so wonderful, I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful partner."
Zenitsu takes a bit of thinking to realize he actually loves you. He spends so much time fawning over every woman around that he had forgotten what it felt like to truly love somebody.
As soon as he realizes it, though, he's extremely loud about it.
He constantly begs you to marry him, tells you how much he loves you, and uses really bad pickup lines on you.
For a while you just thought he was being himself, until the two of you were on a mission together.
He had gotten injured; not horribly, but it was an injury nonetheless, and it rendered him unable to walk.
You were able to carry him, due to being strong (perks of being a demon slayer ig) and he confessed to you that way.
After getting together, he becomes incredibly clingy around you. You get almost no privacy.
He loves any form of affection. Hugs, kisses, hand holding, cuddling, whatever.
Also just talks about you a lot in general, like everybody knows that you two are together and he likes it that way
He's the little spoon, no question about it
Constantly asks you to marry him but you always refuse because you think you two are too young
But you guys do get married a few years after the final battle
