Here's a photo of tonight's aurora from Hay's Dock, Lerwick, Shetland around midnight-30 BST - I like the nice contrast with the Moon, sitting over the Mareel Arts Venue.

First noctilucent clouds of 2013 for me. Faint, but definitely there, shining above Clickimin Broch in Lerwick in the early hours of this morning

Supermoon rising. The full moon of 25 May appeared as the biggest of the year, being the closest to earth. Here, it is seen rising over the Petroatlantic, which is anchored off Fladdabister, Shetland Isles

Shetland pony foal b. 09:00 22/5/2013. No name yet. Just a little unsteady - but quite frisky already!

Bressay lighthouse, Shetland, with the new led flashing light. It'll never be the same... but I like the flood illumination of the tower, which wasn't really visible when the lighthouse was working.
