Daisy’s interest was piqued as she shook the woman’s hand and nodded, tilting her head at the question. “I’m not sure if I’m really supposed to talk about it quite yet. Why are you asking?”

“It’s not like there’s a sign anywhere.”

“I would like to go public sometime soon. I’m just.. waiting for the right time.” Although, it didn’t seem like that time would ever come if Medusa waited too long.

“Yeah, no death involved in this one. Just some good old fashioned competition.” Everett smiled, shaking his head at the mention of the Crucible. He didn’t need something as intense as that. As Aurora explained that everyone was too competitive, his grin grew wider. “Doesn’t that make it more fun?”

“Sounds like it’s a speedster thing then.” Daisy quipped, raising an eyebrow and smiling at the mention of Jean-Paul. “You guys are twins?”

“I haven’t heard of any mutants having any sort of reality shifting yet, no. But never say never.”

“I didn’t know it had anything to do with your thinking.” Daisy admitted, honestly finding that super interesting. She couldn’t imagine what that must be like. “Well I already like you a lot better than Pietro. I’ve never met Jean-Paul, though.”

Daisy slowly lowered her hand as the woman slowly descended back towards the ground and tilted her head out of curiosity when she knew Daisy’s name. “Yeah, that’s me.” She confirmed, holding her hand out to shake. “Nice to meet you, Aurora. What are you looking for me for?”

“What do you do? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“You have a point. But it sounds like this’ll be impressive even on a mutant scale, judging by how Emma’s describing it.” Gabby shrugged, wondering what the Gala was really gonna be like. She’d find out at some point, she supposed. “That’s the plan, if Laura would shoot me back a text.” She frowned, knowing that her sister was busy and that it was unfair of her to be upset about that. She just really missed Laura and wished that they were still as close as they used to be. It felt weird having her sister not live with her anymore. “I’m sure he will.”

Medusa was aware of Aurora’s placement in Alpha Flight, and therefore was somewhat aware of Ulysses. It was a little strange speaking about it without directly naming him, but she nodded her head slightly at the question. “If we can utilize our resources properly, I believe so. Everything’s currently still a work in progress, though.”

“Well, it’s a sandwich. Not as nice as night-pizza on a rooftop but— food is food.”

“you see, history is much more fascinating than you’d expect it to be.”

“That look in your eyes— I know what it means. I see it everywhere I go. You want to ask me something, yet you hesitate. Why? Are you afraid I might hurt you?”

“it wasn’t a cult, alright? it was - more of a, uh - a commune.”

“Nope, stop right there. Before you say anything— this is just as confusing for me as it is for you. Scratch that— this is way more confusing for me. So just- don’t say anything stupid, alright?”
