"we need more complex characters" you guys literally can't even handle a character expressing anger in the throes of grief without calling them abusive and narcissistic (that one's ableist btw. just to top it all off)

Juice theory, here we are 💪🏼
We waited two weeks for this episode, titled Last Alarm, it was supposed to be a proper goodbye to our captain. I expected to see the 118 reacting, grieving together, supporting each other. Instead, we got a time skip, no speech, no tears, just a quick mention of therapy. Then the “maybe kidnapped” kid plot took up over three quarters of the episode, and the actual funeral? Literally crammed into the final five damn minutes (again, the episode was called Last Alarm.) It wasn’t what I needed or wanted to see. And as incredible as Angela and Kenny were, I couldn’t stand the rest. It felt disrespectful to a character as central and symbolic as Bobby. And if this is how they treated him, I don’t even want to imagine what’s next for the others. It’s heartbreaking to watch my favorite show get wrecked like this, in just two episodes 💔

It’s always up to us fans to fix the writers’ mess... This is how it should’ve been, thank you for drawing it 💖

I’d like to set Bobby’s death aside for a moment because it’s too hard to process, and instead focus on the anger I feel about how they’re treating Ryan/Eddie. So, Eddie is still part of the main cast, right? Someone in the production remembers that, I hope? Because judging by the last episodes, it feels like he’s been downgraded to a background extra. Not only was he not there when his Captain died, and we didn’t even get to see his reaction to the news, but now they’re saying he waited TWO freaking weeks to go back to L.A.? Are we seriously supposed to believe that Eddie Diaz didn’t immediately rush back but stayed calmly in Texas? Then when he finally shows up, they give him two lines and stick him in the background again. We got more (and actually meaningful) content for side characters like T and Gerrard than for Eddie?! I’m so angry I can’t even handle myself right now!
“timothy, do you have feelings for lucy?”
“no!!”
vs
“are you?”
“in love with eddie?”
“it wouldn’t be so crazy”
“except that i’m not”
Eddie got a phone call OFF SCREEN. Eddie’s talks with Chris were OFF SCREEN. HE IS A MAIN FUCKING CHARACTER, WHY THE HELL CAN’T WE SEE HIM DO THESE THINGS ON SCREEN?! FUCKING HELL.
If Tim Minear dares to talk about realism again, I swear I won't be held responsible for my actions.
The characters have survived every kind of natural disaster, metal bars through the skull, psychopaths, stabbings, shootings, explosions, fires, and now you want realism?
You dropped a damn asteroid on Texas in LS and everyone came out fine and pretty, and now it's all 'boohoo I want characters to die'?
Seven f*cking seasons of insane nde, and I gladly accepted it because that’s what I signed up for, the danger, but also the comfort of knowing everyone would make it back home safe.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it feels like they’ve taken away my comfort show forever. I feel betrayed.

9-1-1's Kenneth Choi tearfully processes Bobby's 'devastating' death: 'This doesn't make any sense' (exclusive)
Like many 9-1-1 fans, Kenneth Choi wept watching Thursday's episode. "I was sobbing," the actor, who stars as Chimney on the ABC first responder drama, tells Entertainment Weekly just hours before viewers would see fire captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) sacrifice himself so Chimney could receive the one existing dose of cure for a mutated version of CCHF, or Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. "I mean, I f---ing filmed it and I was still sobbing uncontrollably with my friend for like three or four minutes," Choi continues, "to the point where I started to laugh at myself, because it was uncontrollable sobbing. I was laughing at myself saying, "I don't know what is happening! I know this isn’t real! Why am I acting like this? But it was devastating to me." Choi is holding back (or at least attempting to hold back) tears even answering this question, something he continues to do throughout EW's exclusive interview, which covers how 9-1-1 showrunner Tim Minear broke the news to the cast, what Krause thinks of being killed off, and what's next for the remaining members of the 118.

If even Kenny can’t come to terms with it, how are we supposed to? 😭
Bobby, who in some way wanted to comfort Athena, telling her he didn’t want to leave her, that he didn’t want to die, because he knows she’s always feared that deep down he wanted to sacrifice himself to atone for his past, that he didn’t think he deserved to live 💔
