Don’t get me wrong I love many kinds of fanfics and tropes, but there’s something so special about a cute lil slice of life (if well written ofc)… where nothing really happens but everything feels cozy.

bonus points if it takes place in a different time and it’s well researched culturally and geographically wise. Like yeah I’ll read 50k words of that. for the love of the characters and the good writing.

one of the feelings I miss the most is being in a lowkey niche fandom in 2018-9 (specifically a band or movie franchise) and seeing YouTube bless you with the classics:

‘[….] on crack’ or ‘[…] being chaotic for 10 minutes straight’.

I was SAT. and it was always the same 10 clips too, which you inevitably learned and quoted to your friends on a daily basis.

like yes nowadays I love me a good capcut edit but I also miss when most edits were 3min long montages with iris in the background.
