1. If you had to describe the character you play in one word, what would it be? I've thought about it a lot, but the one that fits best is "baseball fanatic." 2. What aspects of the character you play would you like people to pay attention to? When I was preparing for the role, the directors told me, "Sugino-kun should be as stupid as possible," so I hope you'll pay attention to that "stupidity" of Sugino-kun. 3. What similarities do you see between the character you play and yourself? I think we're similar in that when you find something you're passionate about, you can throw yourself into it like a fool without thinking about the consequences. 4. Please tell us about any incidents that have occurred during the recording of "Assassination Classroom" so far. Above all, everyone's ad-libs, especially those by Mr. Fukuyama who plays Koro-sensei, were so hilarious that there were quite a few incidents where everyone almost burst out laughing during recording. 5. If Koro-sensei could take you anywhere at Mach 20, where would you want to go? And why? I think we can go anywhere now, but if Koro-sensei is going to take us somewhere, I'd like to go to "Koro-sensei's house"! I wonder what his daily life is like outside of school... I can kind of guess, but I'm still curious. 6. Among Koro-sensei's weaknesses (he gives himself away when he tries to act cool, and he panics surprisingly quickly...), Which of these resonates with you? And why?

Even if the story is predictable or obviously designed to make you cry, I often end up bawling my eyes out, just as the creators intended. (I cry really hard.) Also, I'm really bad with rides, so that's another reason... (I get motion sickness.) 7. Of the classes (excluding physical education), which class would you like to take? And why? Of all the subjects, I was particularly bad at math, so I'd like to take a math class. I'd love to learn from Koro-sensei's teaching style, and more than anything, I think I could come to like even a subject I dislike if it were taught by Koro-sensei. 8. Among the students in Class E, which character do you think you could become closest to? And why? It's Maehara-kun. In Class E, which is full of eccentric characters, he seems like someone I could have a normal conversation with, and I think he would genuinely help me if I were ever in trouble or a pinch. As a friend, I think he's someone I can really trust. 9. You wake up, look in the mirror, and find yourself as Koro-sensei!? What's the first thing you do? I want to try flying. Also, I want to find out what it feels like to move each individual tentacle! 10. If you were a student in Class E attending Kunugigaoka Junior High School, what assassination method would you choose? And why? Since I've always been athletic, I think I'm better suited to close-quarters combat using knives and other weapons for assassination rather than being a sniper who waits and aims at his target. Also, I'm terrible at lying, so I don't think I could use deceptive tactics.

Elegant and refined. 2. What aspects of the character you play would you like people to pay attention to? A change has occurred within her before and after the school trip. Please tell us about any incidents that have occurred during the recording of "Assassination Classroom" so far. Fukuyama-san's ad-libs are so funny that everyone often can't stop laughing. It's tough because I keep remembering them during the actual performance and it slowly sinks in! (laughs) 5. If Koro-sensei could take you anywhere at Mach 20, where would you want to go? And why? The Uyuni Salt Flats. I want to see that scenery! 6. Of Koro-sensei's weaknesses (he gives himself away when he tries to act cool, he panics surprisingly quickly, etc.), which one can you relate to? And why?

I have a sensitive tongue. I often burn my tongue. Just the other day, I burned it drinking piping hot soup

7. Of the classes taught by Koro-sensei (excluding physical education), which class would you like to take? And why? It's mathematics. I'm not good at science and math, but I feel like I could do it if Koro-sensei taught me!! 8. Among the students in Class E, which character do you think you could become closest to? And why? Kanzaki-san! She's my favorite character, and she's kind to everyone, so I feel like we'd get along well. (laughs) 9. You wake up, look in the mirror, and find yourself as Koro-sensei!? What's the first thing you do? I'd love to experience Mach 20, molt, and laugh "Nurufufufu." 10. If you were a student in Class E attending Kunugigaoka Junior High School, what assassination method would you choose? And why? I want to make a snack, mix Okuda's poison into it, and have Koro-sensei eat it! I've been enjoying cooking lately, so I think I can do my best if I use that skill to my advantage.

Okuda is a quiet and reserved girl, but when she sets her mind to something, she's serious. I was surprised when, after chemistry class, she suddenly said to Koro-sensei, "Please drink this poison." But that kind of boldness is also one of her good points, isn't it? (Kanzaki)

I heard that Mr. Karasuma hired an assassin during the school trip, and our group was also scheduled to be sniped by him. They said he was a very skilled sniper. But in the end, it seems like the whole plan fell through. (Kanzaki)

Delinquent school trip students encountered in Kyoto

I never imagined I'd be attacked by high school students during a school trip. Even though I usually study assassination techniques, it's a completely different story when you're up against a group of high schoolers. Oh, so his name was Ryuki. He looked scary, and with that face, he looks like he's up to some bad things. (Sugino)

These high school students got the better of Nagisa and his friends. There were a lot of their accomplices at their hideout, but it was only a few of them who attacked. Even so, they're all really terrifying. (Okuda)

6. test time

For the first semester's midterm exams, Koro-sensei started creating clones of himself to teach each of us one-on-one. But the next day, Koro-sensei got angry at us for not being very motivated to study and told us this: If none of us ranked in the top 50 on the midterm exams, he would leave this classroom... (Okuda)

Thanks to Koro-sensei's teaching, I'm much better at solving tests than before. However, the teachers at the main campus drastically changed the scope of the test right before it started, so I didn't even come close to getting into the top 50. Even so, we all vowed to get revenge on the final exams. Just you wait and see! (Sugino)

7. school trip period - 1st period

When it came time to decide on groups for the school trip, I managed to get into the same group as Sugino-kun, Nagisa-kun, and Kayano-san, who had invited me a while ago. We had to keep our assassination plans in motion during the trip, so we discussed sightseeing routes while thinking about assassination spots. But then we got into trouble with some high school students... (Kanzaki)

I never expected Kayano to be taken away, let alone Kanzaki. But I'm really glad we had that bookmark Koro-sensei made. I never imagined it would be useful for so many different things. But most importantly, I'm so relieved that both of them are safe. (Sugino)

8. School trip time - 2nd period

It seems like everyone in the other groups managed to do their sightseeing properly. Kataoka's group aimed for the Sagano Scenic Railway, Nakamura's group for the movie village, and Hara's group for Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but it seems like they all failed. I wish our group's plan had worked out too. (Kanzaki)

The nights at the inn during the school trip were really fun. I discovered a lot of things, like how good Kanzaki-san is at games, and how Bitch-sensei is still a young lady. It was fun talking to everyone. In the end, it turned into a chaotic chase scene chasing Koro-sensei even at the inn. (Okuda)

Apparently, everyone in the main building had their own room, but we in Class E each had one large room... But, as Yu said, it's more fun to hang out together in the same room, so this is a privilege of being in Class E. (Sugino)

Apparently, Nagisa and Nakamura tried to assassinate Koro-sensei while he was taking a bath. Of course, he was naked in the bath, but I wonder what Koro-sensei's body is like. (Okuda)

When I asked Koro-sensei, "What Kyoto food did you enjoy the most?", he replied, "Yudofu (boiled tofu) was delicious." It seems Koro-sensei went to Red Eye's Yudofu restaurant. I wish I could have gone too. (Kanzaki)

This is the place where Kanzaki and the others were taken. It's a really secluded and dangerous place, and if it hadn't been on the bookmark, we definitely wouldn't have found it. Apparently, even the locals rarely go there. (Sugino)

When we take tests, we have to go all the way to the main school building. It's so different from our usual school building; it's really clean and modern. I wonder if they use state-of-the-art equipment and chemicals in their regular chemistry classes too? If so, I'm jealous. (Okuda)

1. Study notes

Almost everyone in the class uses this type of notebook. There are four colors, so some people use different colors for each subject, while others stick to the same color for everyone. By the way, the most popular color is green. (Okuda)

Oh yeah, Ms. Bitch's English class hardly uses textbooks or notebooks. Koro-sensei? Apparently Koro-sensei writes impromptu tests in his notebook. Nagisa and Sugino told me about it before. (Kanzaki)

2. Question 4 monster

During the midterm exams, a "monster" appeared in our minds while we were solving problems. It was huge and ferocious. I think everyone in Class E probably had a similar "monster" pop up in their heads and felt like they were fighting it. (Sugino)

3. School trip guide

The school trip booklet was surprisingly thick and heavy. I thought it was impressive that Kanzaki-san had made a separate itinerary in addition to this booklet. But it was really useful when the two of them were kidnapped. (Okuda)

Apparently, Mr. Karasuma is always seen in a suit, so it was the first time we saw him in something other than a suit at the inn. This is it. I didn't get to see it, but it seems like a few people did. (Kanzaki)

It was refreshing to see them in outfits other than their school uniforms, since we don't usually get to see them like that. Especially Kayano, she always ties her hair up, so this might be the first time I've seen her with it down. Also, Okajima said that when Kayano wears a yukata, her lack of breasts becomes even more noticeable... (Sugino)

(DONT) SOUND THE ALARMS:

Takeru honestly looks amused but also a little scared, and that's probably as Iori's partner he agrees with Daisuke that Iori needs to learn to chill every once and a while, but also knows that doing something like this to Iori is a death wish(as hes totally done the same thing before).

Iori, on the other hand, looks entirely shocked and concerned. I mean, V-mon did hit Takeru right in the face and so hard Takeru is stumbling backwards, but Iori probably also knows how competitive Takeru can get and knows he won't let V-mon nor Daisuke get away with this.

They totally team up and destroy Daisuke. Kendo makes Iori fit. He has deadly aim and strength, while Takeru will just grab a bunch of snow and slam it on Daisuke's head using the fact he's taller than him.

On a side note, their partners reactions are amazing as well. Armadimon looks so happy and excited and so does Patamon, tho, they also looked shocked

There’s a video of it on YouTube but it doesn’t have any audio and it’s looped and a bit jumbled, so the episode proper has kind of been scrubbed from the internet.

Matsui’s “office” in his apartment complex has a nice view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government buildings and Shinjuku Park Tower.

What was interesting to me were Matsui’s reference sheets. One of many which were stuck around his desk outlined whether characters used Android or iOS phones, no joke. Sato thought it was funny that Maehara in particular had a zebra-striped phone case.

These character models are found as an extra in one of the volumes too, but Matsui’s original papers have a lot of other scribbles and notes written on them, like screen tone numbers, or Shindou’s phone model (iPhone 5) and phone case design which happens to be in the likeness of a baseball:

For the record, Shindou’s baseball phone case is seen in chapters 50-51 of the manga, along with Sugino’s white phone case. And if you squint, you can tell the latter isn’t using an iPhone either.

The anime didn’t keep most of those little details, though Sugino’s phone still looks like it runs something vaguely similar to Android:

Back to the character model sheets, we actually get a cleaner look at one of them which happens to be the one containing all the kids sitting in the two rows at the back of the class prior to Ritsu’s transfer.

One of the interesting things about the reference sheets is that Matsui appeared to have scribbled down voice actors beside each of the kidsーmaybe he had voices in mind when he created them. Or maybe he just scribbled them down when they greenlit the anime. Other important characters are also listed on the side with VAs beside their names.

Lots of random information. To say nothing of the phones (long live Sugino and Sonokawa, the only Android users on that list), all the supplementary material Matsui’s put out about the students and other characters really shows how much thought he, and I’m sure a lot of other authors as well, put into their characters.
