I saw a pin which was complaining about how people don't see the relationships between Mydei and the other heirs beside Phainon because they're yaoi addicted and they only think of him in regards to ships.

The pin was kind of correct, kinda wrong. We never talk about these relationships solely because Hyv doesn't show them.

Amphoreus is a long storyline, and you have to care for all of the heirs for it to work. To make it more manageable, Hoyoverse creates groups of the heirs- ex. Tribbie and Aglaea, Hysilens and Cerydra, Phainon and Mydei. In almost every event you'll see these pairs more often than not. This doesn't give much time for the other heirs to bond

But you can only really see this 3.4 onwards and in events. 3.0-3.2 for the most part has less heirs, so they were able to mingle a little more (like hyacine and Phainon being chill w everyone for the most part)

But why can't they do that w Mydei?

There's a reason why every single Castordei thing I see is OOC. We don't know how they interact in canon, because Hyv never shows us. Of course they have some interactions, but not as much as Phainon and Mydei. Mydei and Hyacine are said to be good friends, but again, they're SAID to. We're never shown that, and if we are, again, it's not as much as Phaidei

that specifically pisses me off- Hyacine and Mydei are so similar in regards to going against their titan and also because their titans fought in the past, their relationship had so much potential.

Hell his relationship with the calamity chrysos heirs is underrated. Strife and Death are so intertwined and the only good talk we had about that between the two heirs was when mydei was LEAVING for ck like I'm getting mad as I write this. Castorice had more bonding w gnaeus than mydei like come on now 😭😭

Atp you might be thinking that Mydei was written to be like that- that he's the lone wolf and that bc he has a clear head hes destined to be alone or wtv Krateros said. but if that were the case Phaidei wouldn't even have been a thing? Hyacines about mydei voice line wouldn't say they're friends at all?

Honestly if Mydei were to be close to only one heir on screen, I don't get why it was Phainon? What does worldbearing have to do with strife? at least how is it more relevant to strife than death?
