my imagination is rattling in its cage

ive seen several posts suggesting earthsea as a harry potter alternative and while i fully agree that people should be reading things that are not harry potter it's also frustrating. earthsea is very much its own thing and (wizards and magic school aside. and the latter is the setting for maybe 2 chapters cmon) bears no resemblance to harry potter. theyre so vastly different that it doesnt make sense to portray earthsea as "harry potter but not problematic" and tbh im tired of seeing references to harry potter in the earthsea tag. can we just let harry potter die
