O heart! Oh blood that freezes, blood that burns!
Earth's returns
For whole centuries of folly, noise and sin
Shut them in,
With their triumphs, and their glories and the rest!
Love is best.

words i wish were written for me
Including book quotes, poetry, song lyrics and everything in between, these are some of the words that make my soul wish someone cared about me so much they would write this.
“Because you are the only person I can talk with about the shade of a cloud, about the song of a thought — and about how, when I went out to work today and looked a tall sunflower in the face, it smiled at me with all of its seeds.”
– Vladimir Nabokov, Letters to Vera
“My mouth hasn’t shut up about you since you kissed it. The idea that you may kiss it again is stuck in my brain, which hasn’t stopped thinking about you since, well, before any kiss. And now the prospect of those kisses seems to wind me like when you slip on the stairs and one of the steps hits you in the middle of the back. The notion of them continuing for what is traditionally terrifying forever excites me to an unfamiliar degree.”
– Alex Turner’s Letter to Alexa Chung
“And I’d give up forever to touch you / ‘Cause I know that you feel me somehow / You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be / And I don’t want to go home right now.”
– From the song “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls
“I’m not a religious person, but I do sometimes think God made you for me.”
– Sally Rooney, Normal People
“It is late now, I am a bit tired; the sky is irritated by stars. And I love you, I love you, I love you – and perhaps this is how the whole enormous world, shining all over, can be created – out of five vowels and three consonants.”
– Vladimir Nabokov, Letters to Vera
“I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world.”
– Madeline Miller, The Song of Achilles
“If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.”
– Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights
in the darkness, two shadows, reaching for the hopeless, heavy dusk. their hands meet, and the light spills in a flood like a hundred golden urns pouring out of the sun.

Dialogue Prompt #249
“I will never stop. Not until you pay for what you’ve done.”
In the hush of the night
our souls meet in
its wings to kiss
between the sunflowering
stars and the streaks of
moonlight that halo
around us
as our wildly beating
hearts sing each
other's names
we hold hands
across the sky
while our dreams
waltz in languid
circles softly
melting into
one another
-J.Wool, Dream Waltz, Soul Whispers
tell me how your eyes contain infinities. tell me how all of these smiles are asking me to live endlessly inside their now, yet it’s as if my breath has nothing better to do than to whisper your name. some of my favourite poems are just things you’ve said to me. your heartbeat sounds like every daydream I’ve ever had. darling, when I think about you, I find new words for beautiful.
distance is nothing if you travel by heart.
yeah social media is fake but how is everyone so successful and happy and rich and have friends
Poetry pt:3 🤡
I love you guys for liking my poetry and motivating me to write more !
I've seen seas in you
I've seen wars
And every time I need to ask
What was the tear in your eye
Was it blood or wrath ?
And what was the mark on your head
Was it the burn of your skull
Or the mark of fire
from all the woman You burnt
What was in the air ? was it a melody ?
You never played a guitar
You played my heart strings
And of all them around me
They all tell me
I'm out of my mind
Who told them
My mind was within me
If my soul was another human
Would she like me ?
Half you , half me
Quarter parts of happy , sad , euphoric , melancholic
It's nil now
I am numb now
I am dead now
You still don't see me
You still don't know me
Haha this is quite sad

All of this time,
I couldn’t find a true friend of mine,
School was hella boring,
But I think it was fine,
Tried so much to enjoy life,
Tasted varieties of alcohol & wine,
But!!
All of this time,
I Couldn’t find a true friend of mine.

[Remember: Some of these books have dark academia as their major aspect but most of them have dark academia as their minor aspect, and many of them have been put into the list because I got a dark academia kind of vibe from them. Moreover these books have a lot more to offer than just Dark Academia, even if we ignore that aspect, these books are just great pieces of literature. This list is entirely created out of my own reading researches, friendly recommendations, and book recs from reddit, pinterest and the internet in general. If I have gone wrong somewhere or if you want me to add something new, feel free to drop an ask.]
The Black and White Closets
Sofia once told me
that she loved me
Oh how much I wish to tell her
that I wanted to kiss
her lips
when she told me that
I was the one she missed
lying in her closet
painted in shades of black and white
What a foolish lover she was, my sofia
as one fine day
she broke her closet
and ran towards mine
shattering the glasses
when her bloody lips landed on mine
I swear they tasted like
strawberries and expensive red wine
I held her hands and
told her to stay
told her "Hide in my closet with me Sofia! you'll never be alone.
I'll make this feel like home. You'll be mine and I'll be forever yours."
But our forever, it died.. as they took my Sofia away
and killed her and her loving heart
while I weeped
watching her covered
in pools of blood
It rained and on my lap she laid
and she was taking her last breaths she said
"oh my love, dont you cry
once again we'll meet
in another realm
another lifetime"
and gently closed her eyes
to sleep for eternities, she went away
leaving me and my rainbow heart alone
in this black and white closet
in this monochromatic world.

and he believed in some theory
my heart could never comprehend
