loNeliness...the greatest trap
They say that it is within our nature to be a part of something. Whether it be a group, a cause, or even just one other person. What is it then that keeps us segregated and isolated? From both the macro and micro scales it seems to be a growing change in our instict to distint ourselves from one another than to gather. It's growing to be a cliche tag line, "There's enough hate in this world to be apart of it, " which makes it evident that we are all aware of the grotesque hatred to overcomes this world of ours. Why then do we do nothing to impact the macro? Why the disillusioned idea that so long as we impact the micro then the rest will figure itself out?
Aside from that there is the loneliness of the self and heart. One would think that with the ever-growing numbers in our population that finding someone would be easier but that's not the case. Is this just another subsect of our changing instincts? Always so concerned with what would be our demise. We often suspect ourselves but out of destruction of warfare and bloodlust. Maybe we are just at that point where the idea of continuing a line is not an ideal worth tolling over. Perhaps the focus may shift towards healing this world and its cost is our population. Not out of bloodshed but a downfall in reproduction.
Then again as stubborn as we are, the thought of who's line ends and who's continues to reap the harvest of a rejuvenated earth may just be what keeps our population steady or even on the rise.
A contradictory bunch we are.
