I think he's right about mclaren to an extent being built around Lando and no matter how max verstappen max is I think that kind of disadvantage would be a real speed breaker

this whole idea rides on the assumption that max is just a regular driver that would be joining the team. and if it WAS just a random driver, then yeah sure obviously lando would have an advantage in that sense

but this is max verstappen. you are paying him insane amounts of money to join your team. he Will put that car in places it often has no place being. you would be stupid if you automatically pushed him to the side for any driver that you currently have.

no matter who they sold him to, its gonna be kimi behind that front door
