I've often seen talk about how Lestat hid things from Louis and how awful that is. And I'm not saying it's not bad, it IS a deep issue between him and Louis, and him and Nicki, but like.....there's a difference between hiding things because you've done bad things, and hiding things because people have done bad things to you. Most of the things Lestat hid were literally him being abused by others in some form or fashion, and like....there is some nuance to that.

And on top of that? Some of these are the same people faking concern about worrying if the writers can handle incest seriously not, but then they’ll turn around and say it’s Lestat’s fault he got raped and got exploited. They’ll say Lemuel wasn’t at fault for sharing revenge porn- and anyway, Lestat isn’t as good a victim as Louis anyway so we should focus on him! He said one sentence! These aren’t serious people. One of these morons is making long 🧵s on Twitter about it. You can’t condone of revenge porn and then talk of your mouth and say you’re just worried for his the show represents victims. There’s no such thing as a “good” victim. You stand for all of them or none of them. These delusional weirdos decided long ago Louis was the only acceptable victim and are now spinning out.

Look I love Louis de Pointe du Lac, I love Loustat, I do, but I am truly baffled at the amount of people saying "Lestat should have trusted him with more information about all his traumas :(" based on today's promos, when we, the audience, already know it would have wound up in the book that's given Lestat PTSD flashbacks for like six months
