I do tend to be suspicious of art that really lauds and worships the idea of being an artist. Like yes, art is cool, I think it's valuable, there's a reason I make it. But let's not get overly self congratulatory here

being a bg3 fan is so annoying because on one hand astarion's companion story really is that good and i actually do really like him as a character and especially as a nuanced portrayal of an abuse survivor using questionable-at-best coping mechanisms to deal with his trauma. but on the other hand oh my god stop talking about him. please. please stop talking about him. at some point It Simply Gets To A Point.

i'll be the first to admit that wyll didn't start out as my favorite companion but with every passing day i grow more vocal about him. three years and multiple huge post-launch patches and the amount of content he has is still multiple hours behind every other origin character. we've had Every Opportunity to throw him bones. a dedicated prequel would've been so perfect for him. and you're ignoring his backstory for the guy who's Pivotal Life Moment is spending 200 years being depressingly tortured without end. every wyll fan should start killing and every bg3 player should become a wyll fan NOW!!!!!!!!
