if he finds something ridiculous, he’ll usually repeat it back to the person who said it if they’re having a conversation.

unintentional and infrequent sort of echolalia. will repeat similar words or sounds he or a person he’s talking to has just said.

he STUTTERS when he’s ANXIOUS and that’s IMPORTANT

danny can swim pretty well. wasn’t on the swim team or anything. just took lessons. enjoys swimming as an occasional way to think and soothe his anxiety. 

even though daniel thinks that divination and witchcraft is stupid he studies it in order to gain more insight into stage magic

he’s really cute when he gets excited because he has a lil smile and it’s really cute and this isn’t a headcanon danny just has small mannerisms because he is himself i love him sm

vocabulary? extensive. his pattern of speech and use of that vocabulary? absolute garbage. when will daniel atlas learn to use his speech more precisely? never probably.

humble when recognizing someone who deserves to be in any position higher than his own and uses that as inspiration to get better

despite not seeming like it, atlas is a touchy-feely person but only with those he is comfortable enough to be touchy-feely with. he’s also affectionate when given the right opportunity but it’s sparingly

my son danny is smarter than your son danny. in addition to being a magician he also has an above-average intelligence making him the perfect protege to dylan shrike 

while his strongest suits are illusions and cardistry, danny dabbles in just about every area of magic at some point in his life

he doesn’t mean to be but he can sometimes come off as both sexist and/or racist. he learns from his mistakes quickly, so long as they’re pointed out to him or he catches them himself

he eats really cute it’s just something he does it’s because he has the mouth of a small bird

although he is egocentric danny easily knows the strengths and weaknesses of not only those whom he works with but most anyone he’s been in the same room with for five minutes

atlas has expressive eyebrows. like, he is usually moving them most of the time he’s speaking unless he’s feeling especially unamused

he isn’t as stuffy as everyone makes him out to be! he’s fun! he likes to have fun! but he’s also one-track minded, and doesn’t tend tend to defend himself unless he feels threatened. petty insults don’t bother him 

his dick is like average sized

this isn’t a headcanon but it’s adorable when they’re in the room with the broomstick and he asks the guard if he has anything (in his pockets). i love him.

     “     what’s the point of a PAPER CUT     ”     lula remarks with her right hand pulled closely to her face.     “     i mean look –     ”     her arm extends forward , stopping just inches from atlas’ face.     “     how am i supposed to even call that a wound ??     ”     a beat and she drops her arm.     “     yenno , i’m not even gonna , that’s how.     ”     the thin red line running through lula’s finger was another reminder that , although rare , such bodily harm to herself wasn’t impossible.    “     inspiration’s great and all but this is just SAD. who’s it supposed to distract – an ant ?? plus, i guess you could say the whole ‘ watch closely ’  shtick is more jack’s thing. what kind of monster would I be if i took that away from those pretty little hands.     ”

he  shakes  his  head  .  it's  quick  .  a  flutter  ,  swaying  away  from  her  insect  -  sized  laceration  .  a  frown  by  reflex  and  his  eyes  narrowing  by  choice  it's  obvious  that  daniel  atlas  is  the  wrong  person  to  be  flaunting  such  a  minor  injury  to  .  he  doesn't  find  this  half  as  entertaining  ,  nor  perplexing  ,  as  she  does  .    ❛    okay  ,  um  ,  first  of  all  ,  i  don't  really  wanna  be  involved  in  any  sort  of  discussion  about  jack's  hands  .  and  second  :  why  don't  you  practice  something  else  for  a  little  while  ,  hm  ?    ❜    not  only  for  her  benefit  ,  but  for  his  .    ❛    and  put  a  band-aid  on  that  i  don't  trust  you  not  to  get  blood  all  over  everything  .    ❜  still  scowling  ,  he  returns  to  scanning  through  his  book  .
