“Lady Camilla! Are you well?”
Yuzu rushes to Camilla’s side while spitting out the partially-rhetorical question, a small, dark purple book in her hands.
“I failed to set aside time to truly thank you for your efforts in the prior week’s combat trials. For that, I only hold shame.”
The counselor’s efforts were one of their main reasons for victory as well, her magical blasts downing many foes, from nearby ones to afar ones which Yuzu’s arrows failed to reach.
“But now I aim to amend that,” Yuzu flips the book within her hands, making it visible to Camilla that its true identity is that of a Dark Spikes tome. “Seeing these trying times, I would ask that you accept this tome for your future battles. And may you continue pursuing victory!”
Camilla was a tad shaken after abruptly being dropped back into Fodlan. The stuffy dress had disappeared, leaving her in her usual armor. As she was pondering the way things ended, Yuzu approached her.
"Oh." She shook herself back to the present. "I'm... well as alright as I can be all things considered." She half listens as the girl rambles a self deprecating apology for not thanking her during their combat mission. Can't the Hoshidans just say "thanks" and move on like a normal person?
The tome however is a nice surprise. She wants to open her mouth to protest, surely there are others who need it more? But then she realizes that they would go in circles, Yuzu insisting she take the tome and Camilla insisting someone else take it.
"Thank you." She smiles warmly as she takes the tome. "I'll be sure to put it to good use on our supply run." She flipped through the tome. The spell was unfamiliar to her, and there were only twenty pages of practice sigils she could use. It would have to work.
Fodlan really needed to get its act together. Camilla was so over this "weapon durability" nonsense. Nohr had so many blacksmiths and tome scribes that even while in the middle of a war she never had to worry about her weapons "breaking."
Camilla needed a nice, long, hot bath.
