OK, so we all know what the star trek polycules are right? It's usually the bridge crew plus the lead engineer and CMO. Save for a few exceptions like Wesley(we dont do that here). But what if I said they were ALLLLL connected.
How you ask? The main connectors are Bones, Dax, Worf, and Troi. Walk with me here.
We know from the episode Trials and Tribble-ations( DS9 season 5 ep 6) that Dax and Bones had something between them. With Dax's comments about his hands implying...yk. Connecting TOS with DS9. Then we see Dax with Worf. Worf who was also with Troi for a time and cannon with her in Piccard. Connecting the DS9 polycule with TNG.

Star trek is a bunch of polygamous freaks(affectionate) and id say the Captains need to come get their crews but the Captains are apart of it too.
