As one of the three impossible tasks, Master Thorn successfully decursed an old set of battle armor that Mistress found in the attic. They had awoken at night to suspicious sounds (there is a story about a pillow which we shall discuss at a later date) and went to investigate. Upon return, they told me it sounded as if a demon were on the roof trying to scratch its way inside the Manor. Hmmm imagine that. How peculiar ;)

Anyway :)

By luring them to the attic, I knew Mistress Scrivener would be instantly infatuated by the suit of armor. My plan worked so well it even surprised me, although I had the utmost confidence in my abilities.

Master Thorn worked tirelessly, which was admirable since he was still in the throes of healing from his own injuries. The armor was now safe, and ready to wear. I cannot tell you how many eye rolls I sent Master’s way as he helped her put it on. I chaperoned, as I myself could not touch that much iron. I can assure you it was as if Master’s brain had totally fallen out from his head. What a spectacle.

I endured several days of Mistress stomping around in it~ up the stairs, down the stairs, into the study~ I’m surprised the marble floor in the entryway survived. She even visited me in the kitchen.

Although I acted weary of her shenanigans, I secretly enjoyed watching her and knowing the courtship was on track. Despite that awful clanking noise.
