his queen for a day | closed: ferris
Festivals as this have always captured the attention of the isolated woman. Certainly within the lives of her parents she was permitted outside the premise of their home, the price being it was only within their yard that she might wander about. It was the allowance of her brother that grants her existence amongst the local flora, blooming in vibrant colours and aromas.
No notice is taken of the approach of the silvern haired acquaintance, cerulean hues resting ahead as she stands on her lonesome within the square. The flowers set upon her head causes her to pivot upon her heel, golden strands trailing in a minuscule twirl before finally seeing the culprit of the gift. "Hm? Sion?" Vocables retain their same monotonous tune, a quirk of a brow accompanied by a small tilt of her head is displayed in his direction.
Lissome digits lift to touch the petals and leaves gently, trailing along the delicately looped stems which he created himself. Brows furrowing in contemplation of why he might give her anything without prompting. Silence seizes her tongue momentarily before her left limbs returns to lingering near her side. "Um… I don’t have anything for you, though," she mentions, as if uncertain that it was what he was attempting to receive.
Pausing briefly whilst pondering, an arm once more lifts to take hold of his own. There is a tug, enough to make him stumble readily if he is not careful of his balance.
"Let’s go. I forgot something."
Weaving a diminutive lie as this is nothing she was not used to, instead urging him forward with a few more pulls at his elbow. It is only when she confirms he is following that she slows her pace so they can walk beside each other, glancing over with the toss of several stray strands over her shoulder. "Anyway, you say I’m Queen, so you’ll have to listen to me. If you don’t, you’ll severely regret it later.”
It was always nice to be able to see Ferris again, which was obviously why he happily went out of his way to give her such a lovely gift. Or at least Sion felt like it was a good gift. She did not appear to dislike it so that had to be a good sign. He did need to admit that she looked quite pretty with the flower crown sitting on her precious hair.
Blinking twice and his eyes widened a little, he raised a hand to cover his mouth before laughing a little. “You do not need to give me anything, Ferris, for this was a gift for you.” He did not feel like she had to return anything to him, he never did when he gave someone a present.
Sometimes it was scary how strong she could be. Her tug did cause hm to stumble a little because he didn't expect her to do that. Furrowing his brows, he was unsure of what Ferris might have forgotten. She did not come across as the type to do something so careless.
But, there was no point in asking about it. Instead he would just listen to what she said and follow him. He felt like he would have little choice in the latter with how Ferris had already started to walk away with him following behind. It wasn't too bad at least.
“Ah...”
That's right. He did declare her to be Queen and it was only right to do as she said. Managing a small smile, Sion paused to give a quick bow. “But of course, milady.” Unfortunately, he had a feeling that she really would make him regret it if he did 'disobey' her.
