One time Joyeux had a stalker that was frustratingly good at hiding in the shadows. So to set a trap for him, Pat-Jwi decided to wear Joy’s clothing and a blonde wig to lure him out. Joy in turn would watch for her foe from the skies in the form of a raven.

Pat Jwi and Joy are both humans around the same height, and considering that Joy frequently wears a cloak and also loaned Pat-Jwi her horse, this nearly worked. ...Except Pat-Jwi had a a stalker of her own, who unfortunately saw through the disguise.

It generally doesn’t fare well for a mage to get into a physical altercation with a paladin, but Joy’s opponent made the fatal error of letting himself get distracted.

Joyeux certainly looks like a glass cannon but she can take a hit, and being a sorceress she can deal a lot of damage too.

Undomiel and her ill-fated romance.

She accepted the fact that she was going to live centuries longer than he was, but she didn’t expect that he would be dead within a month.

...And so would she. In an act of desperation, Undomiel summoned an eldritch being capable of destroying fates. At the time, we were fighting a powerful wizard, who cast a fatal spell on Undomiel for her transgression. However, this being was not willing to allow his new pawn to die, and erased death from Undomiel’s future.

Undomiel became a lich-like undead being, trapped between life and death. She was required to drain the life-force from living things in order to pass for being a living being, and even still there would be tells. She was cold with no pulse.

In a different campaign, my mermaid paladin, Philyre, rescues her brother Hesperus from a being that wants to control the ocean.

So years ago our campaign started when a friend ran Lost Mines of Phandelver. My husband played a tiefling warlock named Melech, who didn’t care much for others. Melech ran ahead in the cave where Sidlar was being held captive, and without recognizing or caring about who he was, didn’t bother negotiating for his freedom and tried to go for the loot in the room instead.
