rates are $0.01-0.03 per word in USD, depending on the length and level of edits expected! payment would be taken through PayPal. reach out through my asks to inquire!

same goes for writing, I'll write up to 2,000 words for you at a rate of $0.04 per word. Could be an essay or fiction! I reserve the right to refuse any topics for any reason. with 2+ years of hindsight (and almost 10 months of HRT), I want to thank this anon, because I think genuinely this played a significant role in helping me to start transitioning.

I've been so much happier since then, and especially since starting HRT. Yeah, there are new struggles and anxieties and problems to adapt to, but I'm also learning how to enjoy life and find myself and love myself, and it's definitely worth it.

Over the past year I've laughed and cried and been able to look at myself in the mirror and selfies and enjoy what I look like. I've felt more comfortable with my body, and worn outfits and accessories that I've been daydreaming about for over a decade. I've felt pretty, which was not something that I thought was possible.

If you're on the fence about transitioning, please know that it's enough to chase joy. If you think you'd be happier, that's enough. You don't have to have known since you were a toddler. You don't have to be so depressed that you can't bear another day as your AGAB. You don't have to "earn" or "deserve" to transition. It's enough to want it.

When reading the Locked Tomb books as an adult, there’s an added tragedy in recognizing how young all of them are. The idea of setting up a bunch of young people to become Lyctors, powerful but stuck permanently at the age one dies and the other eats them is so cruel.

It might not seem that way to readers in their late teens and and early twenties, but when you live long enough you start to realize you have so much more potential to change and grow. The Fourth are the most obvious examples of this as they’re like 14, but the saddest losses in my eyes are Palamedes and Camilla because within the story, they’re the slightly older, slightly more mature ones. Gideon and Harrow treat them as very competent peers. Nona sees the two of them as trustworthy adults. But they’re only like 21.

I remember being 21 and feeling like such an adult. But I got to live long enough to understand that no, the 28 year old girl who proclaimed that at 21 I was just a baby was right. And John is a bastard for encouraging all those young people to unwittingly die and stagnate themselves so early.

Even Abigail and Magnus. When Harrow laments what Abigail could have continued to do if she hadn’t been murdered, to me that’s one of the core themes if lyctorhood
