So long as you look for it, there will always be sunlight hidden behind the storm.

Sometimes people have to crash and burn in order to rise above from the ashes.

In this society, we shame rebelliousness as an effort to keep together a world that is already falling apart.

Today I chose happiness.

Those who truly want to make time for you, will. Those who won't are merely not worth yours.

A call for help is never silent so long as you know where to look.

It isn't that everyone is against you. Everyone is just for themselves.

Everyday I see the stench of dependency among the silent hearts of people growing and lament the harrowing deterioration and death of self-reliance. How can we be brave when without the presence of others, we are only stagnant existences masquerading in the illusion of a world we have created ourselves? That is not to say we should not graciously accept the gifts of love and happiness from those around us, but in our busy life we forget all too often that these are gifts we can most certainly give ourselves.

An important person left me just yesterday. I wasn't aware of how badly I was going to take his absence. In just a brief second, he was gone. Just like that. Like the stars and all the small lights and points of reason and purpose he gave me in life vanished. Just like that. Today I was blessed another 20 minutes with him. Needless to say, it was not enough. But in that moment I realized just how significant a hand time can play in the game of life between two individuals. After all, there can never truly be a proper goodbye when you are racing against seconds and minutes. Even so, those 20 minutes are going to be the most precious of the next 10 of my days. And until then, I can only hope he is safe.
