How is it is supposed to work: your emotions are a response to your situation and surroundings. It is OK to feel the emotion. Now take that emotion and use your logical brain to decide which parts of the emotion fit the facts of the situation and which do not and why, and how you're going to respond to said emotions (which is what tweet said, and what therapists say)

TLDR (though you REALLY SHOULD READ) Lindsey Marr, an Aerosol scientist and infectious disease researcher, attempted for years to explain that the CDC’s guidelines saying that there is no transmission of airborne viruses/bacterium that are greater than 5-micron in size was incorrect. With basically no funding, she and her fellows contacted a graduate student of medical history named Katie Randall to figure out where the CDC even got this information from since it wasn’t cited in any literature they could find. 

i think one of my fave shark facts is this thing that some species of sharks do where they sorta peek their heads out of the water to see whats above the surface…..its called spyhopping and great white sharks do it all the time
