I've been practicing "Allow Me" therapy.
When I commit to this simple practice of taking care of my mind and body, I’m allowing myself to let go of today’s worries. With every inhale and exhale, I’m allowing myself to let go of things and people that no longer serve me. I’m allowing every part of my body to rest and regenerate the way it should while thanking it for supporting and sustaining me. I’m allowing my mind to free the doubts and fears that hinder my growth.
I’m allowing myself to be ME - no hidden agenda, nothing to prove.
“I shall bathe in this longing until I’m dripping with poetry of you.”

drowning right now...in the best way possible.
If you’re not Indigenous/Native American or not invited into a closed culture, you cannot smudge!
It is a practice specific to them! The rest of us can smoke cleanse but not smudge! It’s the term itself that we’re potentially appropriating, not necessarily the action.

i needed to read this
Hey do you wanna go hold hands and lay in the grass a while?
idk who needs to hear this but i feel guided to write it:
as an adult, you need to have accountability for your own healing. you can no longer dwell on this victim archetype. your parents can only apologize and that’s it. but you need to work on your wounded inner child. YOU are the only one who can do this.
loving my body is a form of rebellion too

“There is a language older by far and deeper than words. It is the language of bodies, of body on body, wind on snow, rain on trees, wave on stone. It is the language of dream, gesture, symbol, memory. We have forgotten this language. We do not even remember that it exists.”
— Derrick Jensen, from A Language Older Than Words (Chelsea Green, 2004)
Through The Olive Trees (Abbas Kiarostami, 1994)

this world can be so kind. butterflies will land and stick in your hair, the smell of rain will float through your mind in the middle of the night, the water we swim in is cold and clear, the fruits we eat so sweet. this world can be so, so kind.
