During the review process, Steam flagged my game as using AI generated assets. This makes the release of the game on Steam uncertain. This is problematic in so many ways I don't even know where to begin. I've sent many assets of WIPs and Photoshop images that proves everything was human-made, but at this point, I'm not sure if the game will ever be able to release. Before and after, about a year gap between the two! The first image was a proto-prototype(?) made with Renpy. The second used Naninovel/Unity. It was a journey to get there, filled with happy moments and other where I'd be just crying because of what was ahead of me: Insurmontable tasks, bugs, unanticipated challenges... In the end it was all worth it.

This is a good exemple of work-in-progress in terms of visual effects. In the first draft, the portal looked cool, but it wasn't clearly conveying what is was -A gateway to another world.- The second version is simpler, but clearer and efficient! You can also see how the UI evolved and it feels so much better than working with placeholder assets!
