Onceuponanask’s Post-Series Revamp!
This post is long overdue, but we’re still interested in keeping this group going even after our beloved OUAT has ended *insert sob* But how will it work, exactly? Good question! Here is our plan for the group:
@onceuponanask will be making some chances and turn into an AU/Verses based roleplay, where we can all come together and play with each other, without having time frames and deadlines for AU events or any limitations on interactions as we had on our canon verses while the show was on air.
This means that each character will set their own verses, canon and/or AUs they’d want to play, and those verses will be permanently open for interactions!
For example, some possible canon verses for Regina will include: Young Regina, The Evil Queen’s reign, Camelot, etc, while AU verses might include (but not limited to) ideas and settings we’ve done on the group before, such as: Lost AU, A Land Without Magic AU, Harry Potter AU, etc. Each verse is an interaction with a completely different Regina, and those interactions apply and belong to their specific verses only.
What do we mean by “interactions”? Interactions can be the following:
1. ASKS: The original premise of the group remains—asks. Everyone can keep sending in their questions for your character but it will be based on verses now. Each character will have a masterlist of the verses they’d like to play and explore, and followers/fellow group members will be free to send their questions for specific verses anytime they wish and you will answer them accordingly. This is the only interaction we can do with non-group member people.
2. PARA-RPING: Short paras, long paras, anything goes! Pick existing verses such as canon verses or AU events we’ve played on the group before, or create complete new ones and talk with your teammates to plan exciting threads!
3. ICON/GIF RPING: Which is just another form of para RPing is also welcome here!
4. MEMES: Every once in a while, we will be reblogging memes to spice things up. All memes will be found under our ouaa memes tag. If you see a meme you’d like us to reblog, please drop us a link and we’ll gladly do it. Alternately, you can reblog any memes you wish to do on your own blog.
In short, it will be very similar to an indie roleplay, only we will do it in a group form where we will be interacting with our group members.
To match the group’s makeover, we are going to make some changes to our application. Instead of sending us a set of five questions & answers only, we are going to ask for two para samples as well: one will be a canon verse, the second one will be an AU verse—any AU of your choice.
Another change we will be doing concerns our characters’s blogs. Some of us would rather keep the ask and para-RPing interactions separated on different blogs, and that is as not to lose any long time followers or potential new ones who’d like to follow ask blogs alone without having their dashes spammed with para-roleplay replies. It is perfectly fine if you’d rather split your RPing content like that and use a sideblog for your second blog, whether you are an existing member or new to the group. Just make sure to let us know and send us both blogs URLs.
Our follow/open lists will be updated very soon, and some of the roles will be reopened. Keep an eye out! :)
