[@ask-the-white-space] Chromoton @ Wo It seemed to just be wandering around, until noticing Wo and approaching.
“[I have not identified a species like yourself. I assume you must be from a place that of which I have not visited. How was the trip here like?]”
Wo: "Kitakami isn't that far from Paldea, the region in which me and my family reside. I recommend visiting the region, as it is nice to explore, and you can observe the every-day activities of Pokemon that one doesn't get to see elsewhere."
He tilted his head and put a vine to where his chin would be, and showed a curious look.
Wo: "Forgive me, but...I haven't seen anything like you before. May i ask about what you are? I'm quite eager to know!"
”[From what I’ve deduced, I’m apparently some sort of convergent species to that of Magnemite. Everybody I’ve been around has called me a Chromoton, so I must suppose that is what sort of thing I am. And on this Paldea area, I wouldn’t be shocked if we were to stop there on the way back, so I can see what convincing I can do.]”
Wo: "Since this is the first time I have seen anybody like you, I shall refer to you with the name that you and others have given you. That being said, it's nice to meet you, Chromoton!"
He nodded, showing a happy look, and put two vines together.
Wo: "If you do decide to explore Paldea, you can visit me and my family, if you wish to~ We all live in a place called Grasswither, which also happens to be my old shrine, and I do like to have visitors every now and then~"
”[Old Shrine? You mean like some sort of place to once worship? Are you some sort of legendary I haven’t heard rumors of yet?]”
They seemed to be floating around Wo, examining them with a dull plane of red, as if scanning them.
Wo: "It's...what the humans of old medieval Paldea used to call it. I'm not sure if it was used for a purpose other than sealing me away, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was."
He followed their movements as they examined him.
Wo: "You may also call me 'legendary' if you so wish, as I do have that status in Paldea, even if I don't use it. I don't like to see myself as someone with a higher status than others. It helps others to view me as a friend instead."
”[Oh, I see it more as a species categorization sort of thing, but I guess that is because I usually don’t consider a lot of outside factors into a lot of things. A lot of people even today use the term ‘legendary’, usually for a more harder-to-find species that has some sort of tie into the beliefs or legends from the region that species originates from. Although, with all of the Ogerpon I’ve noticed gathering around here, I highly doubt that the whole ‘harder-to-find’ thing is holding its ground anymore. Perhaps it could just be a gathering spot for them this time of year, something drawing them to the area. I do not know for sure.]” They seemed to process a few things for a short moment, resembling that of one trying to recall a memory. ”[Say, since you aren’t really fond of the title, do you perhaps have a name by which I could call you? One that you’re more… comfortable with?]”
