Glad you noticed! I don’t cook a lot, but when I experiment, I have loads of fun. Plus, you get to eat delicious food when you’re done!

One of my favorite recipes is pan fried pork chops. I’ll link the original recipe as well, since I did need somewhere to start. Even Champions can use a little help from the Elise’s World Wide Web. ;3

I’ve done a little editing to it myself since it’s a pretty simple dish. You can also do some editing of your own as well if you feel brave enough after a couple of times.

Please let me know how the recipe goes! Also, please be careful to stay safe, since a lot of hot items are involved. Be sure to ask for help from an adult if you need to, and if you are a grown adult I still want you to be careful and wear a lovely apron. The sunny lady likes her followers to cook properly and safely.

Ingredients:

Flour (enough to coat however many pork chops you need to make, so at least 1/2 cup to 1 cup for 2-8 chops)

Salt

Pepper

Cayenne (feel free to add other spices that you think will compliment the dish. I’ve tried peppercorn and an Italian blend before, and it turned out quite tasty)

Canola oil (if you’re not a fan of canola or vegetable, you can use olive oil, although I do not recommend it. Be warned: olive oil has a lower boiling point, so it will splash at higher temperatures. Hot oil is scary, so be careful my sweet poros). There are other ways to sooth your olive oil hankering.

Steps:

Put a clean pan on the stove and pour in enough oil to easily coat the bottom. If that’s too unclear, add however much you would think it would take to cover one side of a chop. Turn the stove on to medium/low heat, adjusting as necessary.

Rub each of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Go easy on this step; I’ve overdone it with the salt one too many times. It may take a few tries to get the right amount you like.

Mix by hand in a small bowl the flour, spices, and a little salt and pepper.

Once done, you can now coat each of the chops in the mix at place them into the now hot pan. Do so gently to reduce the chances of splashing oil out. Let the first side cook for 2-3 minutes and flip it over for an additional 1-2 minutes. Make sure to check that the chop is completely done, either by cutting it open or checking to see if no meat juice is dripping from it.

And your done! Make sure to compliment it with some sort of starch and/or vegetable like potatoes, beans, corn, or peas for a more complete meal. Let it cool off for a couple of minutes first; just because the sunny lady can take the heat does not mean her friends should burn their lovely mouths eating something tasty.
