1. Matthew’s a teensy bit taller than Alfred. Not very obvious, though, but he is taller. 

2. Competitive as heck when it comes to hockey, especially with Alfred or Ivan. Most of the time, they’re brothers through and through, but when it’s hockey season or the Winter Olympics….it’s Only One Can Live and I’ll Fucking Destroy You. He can skate really well. Good at winter sports.

3. He’s pretty used to Alfred hogging all the spotlight, and it’s not something he’s jealous about or anything. He knows all too well how that kind of attention and power Alfred has comes at its own price. He (and the other Americans) are more or less used to it as a fact of life. They do however, have a chat group to complain about that… tsk. 

4. Absolutely obsessed with Kraft Dinners. He hoards them jealously. (’Food of the gods, you heathens.’) He may eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner on some days, nevermind the horrified wails of Francis. 

5. A crack shot. He’s good at hunting. Outdoors kind of person too, good at hiking, knows how to start fires without any matches kind of thing and to live off the land etc. 

6. Not at all a shrinking violet. He’s just quieter and more reserved in comparison to the other Americans, but he’s very much willing to speak his mind when he feels a need to. He’s just more inclined to be less loud about it.
