the shooter was an Albertan who travelled to Montréal specifically to carry out this attack. he is dead and his identity has not been revealed. he wrote a 104-page manifesto espousing misogyny, pseudo-Marxism, and incel ideology to justify his attack, which is drawing comparisons to Marc Lépine & the Polytechnique shooting. the victims are 34-year-old police officer Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, notable because Montréal has not had a police officer die at work in over 20 years, and 68-year-old Michael Mizrahi, a member of the local Jewish community who was killed by a police officer during the confrontation. also he had a Soviet gun which is drawing a lot of media coverage for some reason.
