The major obstacle to Tessa having any reflection on this fact, is shes preoccupied with her one man mission to take down the solver- feeling entirely responsible for it.

constantly, shes trying to not dwell much on her past, and throws herself entirely into the mission. shes a wee bit scarred by the fact that- on a dime- she witnessed her drones turn into murderous man eaters, ones that hunted her. hence why she avoids working with any drones on JCJ assignments. as any soft memories of a twintailed maid drone can quickly turn into something worse.

When J and Tessa start to work together proper, everything being acknowledged in hindsight again- Tessa knows. and now, actually having J interact with her again with that knowledge, it sparks some deeply buried excitment.

but, like most of her ways with dealing with the past- she shoves it off as something that was a long time ago and shouldn't be dwelt too heavily on. because to her, too much has changed, theres a mission to focus on- but that doesnt mean she doesn't linger on it.

J has such a strange relationship with authority, and this cold and dismissive person- thats later revealed to be Tessa- would weigh on her. When trust is gained and the DD's start reconnecting with her, Tessa does get some of her whimsy and positivity back. after the fact, when it isnt so directed towards her, and Tessas own treatment of J is acknowledged, J probably thinks her sudden bouts seriousness, her taking charge, is hot lol.

individually both of them are thinking "okay we need to focus on this life threatening mission so we dont die, theres no time for distractions." and immediately failing at that that. I imagine its pretty awesome to be reunited with someone you missed incredibly- your best friend. in a twisted way, youre both the free-est youve ever been, you can just fall back into old habits. and some new ones, wink wink.
