ATHENS STEINMETZ is the son of Athena and Steinmetz Sr., a man who is commonly referred to as Auradon’s resident mad scientist. Athens often jokes that Athena had him with his father in his mother’s ‘emo phase’ simply because of how different his father is to the parents of Athena’s other children; Steinmetz Sr. is just a little too into Athena, hence the reason why he named his son after the goddess himself. Athens often wonders if his father’s ( near non-existent, at this stage ) relationship with Athena is a little unhealthy, but at the end of the day, he’s well aware that his father’s obsession with Athena will never end. It seems harmless; his father wouldn’t harm a fly, a trait which Athens seems to have picked up from him.

At his core, Athens is the perfect combination of smarts and kindness. He grew up around nothing but science, so it was natural for him to want to go down a route which combined both science and kindness combined. He’s wanted to be a doctor from a very young age, so he’s very excited to finally have finished his studies and get to really helping people in Auradon. His current base is Auradon City but he grew up not too far from the Enchanted Wood in his father’s secret scientist hideout. He’s not only looking forward to starting his dream of a career, but maybe to having a little bit more of a normal life. He wouldn’t say his childhood was unhappy, but it was definitely... quiet. He’s looking forward to getting to know his half siblings and maybe feeling like a normal human being for once, especially one without the risk of being turned green at any moment from his father’s strange experiments. Athens is doing his best to balance work, family, and friends as a restless workaholic and perfectionist, but time will tell as to how well it works out for him. But who knows? Once he’s got work tackled, maybe it’s time to start a family of his own?

EDGAR TEACH is the son of Blackbeard and the first mate of Harriet Hook. Edgar grew up on the Queen Anne’s Revenge, his father’s ship, surrounded by countless other siblings that his father brought into the world yet barely recalls. Edgar wasn’t brought up by his mother, who dropped him on Blackbeard’s doorstep as soon as he could walk, but instead by his father’s crew, who he still maintains a close relationship now. Edgar’s relationship with his father isn’t the greatest considering his father can hardly ever remember his name, but this treatment doesn’t seem reserved to only Edgar, but all of his siblings. Perhaps his father’s memory is simply fading in his old age, but at least Blackbeard ensures that all his children are fed and clothed and have a roof over their heads. It’s more than the orphans roaming the streets of the Isle had when Edgar was growing up.

It was a surprise to all when Edgar and Harriet were able to overcome the Hook vs Blackbeard family rivalry and become friends, but this wasn’t before a lot of bickering and mischief. Eventually, Harriet was able to look past his confident, flirtatious attitude ( really, he’ll flirt with anything that has two legs ), and see the goofy boy under all the leather and frills. Edgar, in turn, was able to see that the rivalry he seemed to care so much about was ridiculous if he could get along so well with such a charming pirate. Edgar and Harriet have still managed to keep their union a secret from their parents, though; neither of them want to break the news that they’ve crossed borders into dangerous territory to their hot-headed fathers. They’ve done a pretty good job at keeping it a secret so far, so what could go wrong?

Being so close to Edgar doesn’t come without its more interesting moments, however: Edgar could be described as a bad boy with an even badder streak, a boy whose imagination will never fail to think up creative ways of causing harm to his enemies. He’d never tell anybody that he rarely ever means that harm; he’s simply got an active imagination, and he thinks Harriet knows it. Is it his fault that his outbursts of passion scare away the feeble-minded? Not at all. Edgar has also been known to pinch Harry Hook’s look more than once, mostly because it amuses Harriet and Edgar greatly. So what? Edgar wears it better than him. Regardless, Edgar has come to consider the crew of the Hungry Crocodile his family, and he’d do anything for them. There are very few people Edgar wouldn’t betray for his Captain, and even his father might just be one of them.

ERIKA LEVENTIS is the daughter of the Enchantress, the sister of Erik and the granddaughter of Hecate. Despite her mother’s involvement in turning King Adam into a beast, he held no grudge and did not send her to the Isle. Erika is confident, romantic, and sophisticated, but also judgemental and blunt. One of Erika’s best friends has always been Lyric Triton, the second youngest daughter of the Triton children. They became friends due to sharing a lot of the same classes in their primary school years until graduating at Auradon Prep. Through the years, they’ve both developed a crush on one another. Lyric would never admit it because she was too shy to do so, and Erika always thought Lyric wouldn’t want to ruin their friendship. However, Lyric loves how Erika always challenges her to step outside of her shell and do things her cautious nature wouldn’t otherwise prompt her to do. Aside from struggling with her feelings for Lyric, Erika is also struggling with the magic inside of her. She wants to be able to explore it but the laws prevent her from doing so. Which will win out first: her desire to discover more about herself, or her desire to open up to Lyric?
