I'm Jack, 18, he/him or she/her (Genderfluid). I've spent about a year and a half in the whump community. I love whumping OCs and humanised countries, though am now wanting to open myself to whumping other characters
Whump preferences:
Short-to-medium term captivity; half a year at absolute maximum
Female whumpers with male/female whumpees
Fics that focus on recovery, with whump being revealed through flashbacks
Whumpee and Caretaker having an imperfect, but overall good relationship
Parental female caretakers
Favourite tropes:
Lesbians recovering from trauma
Fluffy but realistic recoveries
Broken bones
Severe gore and violence
Characters with both healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms
Whumpees that blame themselves for what happened to them
Caretaker resenting Whumpee for having a violent trauma response
Possessive whumpers
Whumpers with softer sides to them, especially around others
Whumpees who are abusive towards their Caretakers (underrated trope imho)
Squicks:
Male whumpers on female whumpees (Note: I can handle this a lot better if it's short-term or single-incident whump, or if the fic focuses heavily on the whumpee's recovery)
Whump that is portrayed as positive (not through the Whumper's POV)
Whumpee is fully naked, especially in outdoors or in a vulnerable position
Captivity over a year

Type of whumper: Vyshka is a creepy, intimate and rather cruel whumper towards Ayak. She dehumanises her completely, aiming to convince her that she is a dog, and lashes out whenever Ayak acts like the human that she is. She does have a genuine soft side, but that is usually shown either when she thinks Ayak is under her control, or to other people.
Fuck it, this is my Whumper Freiya, she is the spoiled but deeply troubled Princess of a Bloodthirsty Expansionist Fantasy Kingdom, and I love her. Her hair color is closer to the picrew on the left but she looks more like the one on the right. She's technically based on a character from another IP but I've changed her so much from said character she's based on that I think it's fair to say she's mine now. Gonna attempt to overcome my insecurity about my writing by posting her more

Siblings that hold each other and kiss just because they love each other. Kids with fluffy crushes on grown ups and grown ups that can't help but give in to how cute they are. Big sibling that sticks up for their shy little sibling whenever they get upset. Younger character with an unrequited crush and a different, older character reassuring them that there are plenty of other fish in the sea - and they're right here. Parents that love spoiling their kids. And all of them kiss ofc
what Black characters do you personally think are coolest? either specific characters or generic "i think characters like this are awesome"
☕ Mr. CBC: I personally LOVE intelligent characters so anyone who uses their brain for solutions is a win. Think Miles Morales 🕸️and Static⚡. Besides them, I enjoy Killik ⚡🔥 from Soul Eater, Numbah 5 🧢 from KND, Andrea ⚔️ from Ordeal, and Storm ⚡of course (her entrances where she speaks poetry and let's you know she is THE weather goddess 🤌🏿🤌🏿🤌🏿😤😤) ☕

Thinking about Mimi's parents and how, yes they were incredibly abusive. But they were also still her parents, they were cruel, but they were also kind. They loved her so much but at the same time they associate her with a very traumatic time in their lives (pregnant at 15 and forced to marry eachother by fundamentalist Christian parents).
It's not even a conscious thing for them. It's not an intentional bias against her. They thrusted Mimi into a 2nd mother type role and held her to such an unrealistic standard that she was bound to fail no matter what.
It's sad because they TRIED to be better than their parents. They raised Mimi and her siblings away from the church, they supported Mimi coming out, they never withheld food (even if they threatened to sometimes), didn't make them kneel on rice for hours on end, never burned them with cigarettes etc. But that doesn't change the fact that what they did to their daughter was awful and cruel.
That's why when Mimi ran away, they were finally forced to reckon with what they had done. What they had pushed their daughter to do. They had called it 'tough love' and 'teaching responsibility.' But in reality, they were just taking out their fear and anger on her.
So they do the work, they go to therapy. They learn how to better communicate, how to manage their anger, how to foster better supportive relationships with their children. Which is all very well and good, but Mimi is still gone. And no matter how good their relationship with their sons is, there will always be anger and resentment for what they did to their big sister.
The first 2 years of her disappearance, they fully believed she would come back (or at least contact them in some way.) They tried to keep that hope alive longer, but after 5 years they came to terms with the fact she was probably dead. It nearly broke them, they became better people at the cost of their babies life, they were monsters. But they knew they had to be there for their remaining children, even if said children hate them forever. They had to be better parents for them, for the memory of the girl they lost.
Of course, Mimi isn't dead. And when she is returned to them 13 years later, they'll have a whole new reckoning to face.
Bad Dog is a disturbing, surreal and surprisingly fluffy whump/recovery story. I don't have much to say rn as I've only recently started writing it, but it's about a woman who is abducted by one of her college friends and forced to roleplay as a dog, and how she recovers and heals from the abuse.
It's woman-centric, with a female whumper, whumpee and caretaker.
Other contents/warnings: Dehumanisation, cruel whumper, straitjacket whump, whumpee that tries to be defiant, pet whump, disturbing and surreal contents
reading a fic with a soft UwU whumpee in recovery: Aww, this is kinda wholesome, they’re really nice and forgiving to their caretakers despite the trauma they’ve been through 🥹🥹
writing a fic with a soft UwU whumpee in recovery: THEY’VE GOTTA LASH OUT ONCE IN FACT NO THEY’VE GOTTA LASH OUT TWICE AND THE SECOND TIME ITS OVER SOMETHING CARETAKER SAID THAT WHUMPEE MISINTERPRETED
i really like soft yanderes that wouldnt hurt their beloved specifically but are very clearly unhealthily obsessed with them and would emotionally hurt and abuse anyone that makes them upset

It's been [insert preferred timeline] since Whumpee disappeared when Caretaker gets a call from Whumper. No beating around the bush, no taunting. Whumper says exactly where Whumpee is and that they should hurry if they want to find them alive.
Posters are all over town, with multiple images of him, as well as his mother's phone number. A message at the top that plays into the viewer's emotions, begging for any information.
His mother, Luci, sits by her phone. She's staring at it, eyes refusing to blink, even through the itch and the discomfort. The ringer is on, full volume, in case someone rings.
Nausea cripples through Luci's stomach, her hands clammy against her arms, brushing them gently as a last ditch effort to comfort herself. Isaac is her only child.
The phone rings. It's an unknown number, but Luci picks up anyway, gulping down her breaths.
"Hello?" A low, though feminine voice asks from the other end. "I'm calling regarding a missing poster of a young man. Isaac Williams?" Her voice sounds European, almost Nordic.
"Yes," Luci yells. She doesn't mean to. "Do- do you have any information?!"
"He's at 25 Dale Avenue, just south of town." Luci's eyes narrow. "He's in the basement of the house, in a small dog cage."
"What the fuck?" Luci asks, after a long moment of silence.
"He's at 25 Dale Avenue," the woman repeats. "And if you want to see him alive, you should hurry." She sounds sickeningly smug.
