I understand how there is a pivot between other people dying in the beginning compared to sukuna killing them and the guilt that puts on itadori, during the Shibuya arc but compared to the things that happen before and after, is this a turning point as big as one thinks?

aaand I mostly think it's fine, I'm really honestly not concerned about people liking leon more so than how it influences how Capcom chooses which games to develop and which ones not to to, it definitely does

so honestly re9 likely woudlnt be getting my vote of confidence as goty, because as good as it is, it doesn't have a grandiose improvement or revolutionary plotline that has extreme feeling, and that's not to say it's bad either, just that it exists in the in between space of impossibly high expectations and considerably better than mediocre--

I think grace could have been so compelling if she had less of Leon as a crutch in the story but of course the game apparently won't sell unless he's there, which matters-- this is why claire is getting her first remake in 7 yrs and her last original game came out 2 decades ago. same with Jill, too since her last appearance was a decade and some change ago-- even Chris got slowly pushed out even though it's not nearly as severe

my point is I wish that resident evil was more of a balancing act from the og 4 instead of a Leon fest.i feel like I'm running in the aeon hamster wheel and I don't even like aeon like that and look I wouldn't be complaining but I swear every second post is about Leon or Ada and they're so concentrated in the fandom, it's a bit difficult to really interact properly with the other characters

That said if you fw aeon or leon or Ada you are not a larper based on that factor alone and if you fw it you fw it that's final
