So excited for the second book to We Hunt the Flame by @hafsahfaizal! We Free the Stars comes out in January. I fell in love with Nasir and Zafira after their story in WHTF and they inspired me to draw more concept art. The author is one of the few Muslim YA writers that have inspired many women of muslim faith to pursue their creative outlets and succeed. By pre-ordering her book, it helps a lot and increases the potential for more stories with diverse characters to be written. I encourage you to check out We Hunt the Flame if you haven’t already. Known as one of the best bounty hunters/ combat mythics, Aaron and his badass crew (Ezra and Kai) make an unstoppable team. He has a sword called "Sharpie" that acts as a switch to enhance his abilities!
