Kill the Rich Kid

This is an open starter heavily based on nO ONE responding to this (I know I have shit editing skills, but come on!) and this headcanon, please come love my (belated) birthday boy.

He wasn't exactly sad that most people had forgotten about his birthday. (At least that's what he told himself.) Joseph had grown an intense dislike for birthdays amongst his family thanks to their quarrels, and that intensity was only growing now that his own son was being kept away from him.

Their birthdays fell close together, ironically, tomorrow Abel would turn ten and his own father wouldn't even be there.

Joseph had spend most of his day looking at a handmade drawing that he always kept with him (tucked safely inside of his notebook) like some sentimental fool feeling sorry for himself.

This wasn't him.

He looked up with a startle when he noticed [your muse] standing a little too close for comfort and promptly snapped his notebook shut, feigning a pleasant smile.

Joseph glanced up from his work when Sebastian walked up to him, not giving much other acknowledgement to his presence until he spoke. He then put down his notebook with a soft sigh and a weary smile.

“I-- Thank you,” he spoke “I will take a look later.”
