Did this thang! It was very fun- I have more to come.I love these characters a lot. NANA and MARS are some of my favorite mangas of all time but are so severely underrated… 

I saw this post: [click] and oh dear god, the amount of feelings I had! The foreshadowing has been there all along... I love this series a lot, so I had to put my own twist on these pivotal moments in the story. The siblings definitely make a great character foil... similar states of transformation!

Decided to follow up with something happier than my last post! This moment was absolutely precious, and gave me a lot of feelings as it serves as more or less an answer to  an episode prior to it called “Forever with Lord Sesshoumaru”.

Although he doesn’t speak very much in the series or express too much directly, The Final Act gave us such an amazing peak into the depths of Sesshoumaru’s compassion for the sweet bean who first taught it to him. 

You ever think about that episode where Kohaku gave Sango flowers and she was so, so happy?? Laughing and frolicking about? A simple and innocent joy in the chaotic life she had of fighting demons?? When she still had her family and village and was none the wiser to what was to come? Me too /weeps

I’ve always admired Sango for being able to be an absolute badass who also embraced her femininity. I think her character gives a great message, that way. She was tough as nails, went through hell and back but she also enjoyed flowers and walked around in a  pink kimono, had a kitty sidekick, loved her little brother to pieces, and even fell in love. She was kind but took no shit. What an absolute legend.

Been a while! Work has been crazzzy but thought I’d stop by and drop these sketches I did some months ago before I embarked on doing redraws for fun and watching bits and pieces of the series again. I just can’t seem to get away from this show lol. I have a Sango redraw in the works atm... not as gloomy as the sketch up top though AHHH that moment is heavy in my heart, though. 

Koga isn't the only person who broke me in The Final Act.

I could not get over this scene with Inuyasha finally saying goodbye to Kikyo. The dialogue they chose here was so impactful for me. In my perfect world, Inuyasha knew that there was nothing he could really do for Kikyo besides hope that she would find a way to exist in peace. Kikyo however knew and grew to accept that she did not belong in the world of living and that in the end, returning to her death was inevitable. I think that while he manages to move on and fall for Kagome, he never once wanted to abandon Kikyo or push her away after finding out that they had both been deceived by Naraku. In the end, he loses a person he loves all over again despite his best efforts to help her and atone for misunderstandings.

Another redraw! And more Koga feels! ...Can you tell I gave up on the soul collectors? Lol. KOGA IS JUST A REALLY GREAT CHARACTER, CLAP EMOJI!

Anyways, have a blurby ficlet  from my perspective;

Koga watches on with the rest of Inuyasha’s group as Kikyo’s soul is escorted away by her shinigami. In the absence of its warmth, the all too familiar weight of loss settles onto his shoulders. He thinks about his fallen tribe and quietly hopes that their souls had been guided away with as much care as that of the Priestess. He was becoming increasingly aware that this moment was the beginning of the end of many things. He hadn’t expected to survive this long. In fact, how long had it even been that he began this quest to avenge his murdered comrades? Or when he had first came into possession of his Shikon Jewel Shards? Hunting for Naraku had become his life, sprinkled in with the petty fights he picked with the Half-Demon sitting some feet in front of him. For all the distaste he had for Inuyasha, he couldn’t help but feel sorry for the guy. Although everyone sitting around him were victims of Naraku’s evil deeds, Inuyasha and Kikyo had been the first.

Breaking in a new tumblr. It’s been such a long time since I put any art online but decided to get back to my roots with an Inuyasha redraw! This series captivated me as a child and was the anime that  inspired me to become an artist. Every now and again I love to pay homage to it. Expect more in the future.
