that sounds more like the Corrupted, to me. one of the orokin void towers' neural sentries, corrupted are gold; their minds slaved to the command of the defence array, becoming a like-minded swarm. perhaps one drifted by and snagged Vana; after which kingdom-wide efforts were made to avoid such occurrences?
Considering the Corrupted managed to hijack a Corpus Jackal and sent it to the Undercroft as a a Scout

also minor tangent but this is a misconception ive seen a lot but you cant turn into a void angel (at least its never happened as of yet)
The holdfast arnt turning into void angels they already are void angels
Void angels are essentially mimics made of a substance that can store memories similar to aya
they take on the appearance and identity of the person whos memories they hold but once those memories are lost to the song they revert back to there default state which is a void angel
That explains how Cavalero can repeatedly test his Guns ON HIMSELF and be fine (are you alright, man??) …and how the Rankings of the Holdfasts include ‘Seraph’
So they (and the rest of the Resurrected Zariman Colonists) were Void-constructs,
but the Colonists who became the Metallic Angels were the ones who full-on lost themselves were the ones who gave into despair and were forced/persuaded into drinking Wally’s Blood

Adding to this that The Indifference as we know it works very much like a form of erosion, the more of the self that is lost the more of the void fills the gaps. ALSO ALSO the Operator and Drifter are referred to as having a void body and a void saturated dna. I don't discard the possibility that they are also Void Angel by definition. But different. But not that different.

According to Wally in Isleweaver, the Tenno could turn into one of them if they break Wally’s deal, as the Fragmented ‘looked like them, once’
And that’s really terrifying if all of the larger Fragmented were once Tenno- who were they? Is Wally going around dismembering other people out of catharsis??
Judging by the description of ‘Cosmic Dust’ as an animating Agent and their limbs being a similar Metallic shape to the Angels…
I guess The Murmur might be an ‘enhanced’ or upgraded version of one??
Which fits with Angelic Choirs irl, as the more inhuman-looking or dangerous Angels tend to be the ones closer to God.
