there’s so much i want to say about working in the book industry (and culture in general) during war in an authoritarian country but all i have left in me is a thousand-yard stare. a unique experience for sure
#it’s so absurd we’re forced to resort to cutting up the book covers#cutting out any mention of the ‘enemy of the state’ with the scalpel#just so we can save the book itself. otherwise we’d have to get rid of it for good#and that’s something i have to take as good news#and that’s the books we can save!!!!! there’s SO many we can’t save at all. swaying between anger and tiredness everyday harder and harder
